Grieving With You

I was looking through my list of challenge blogs today, and saw the colors for CAS On Friday.
I love them, and immediately went to work using other inspiration from other challenges to create this sympathy card. I completed the card, and then it hit me! By my definition, the card I created is NOT a CAS card. Too much patterned space! Ugh. Still, I really love the way it turned out and though I am not entering it in the CAS On Friday challenge, there is plenty of inspiration from other places where it fits.

Supplies:
Paper: Neenah Solar White 110# and 80#, Patterned paper that came as a gift in a stamp order.
Stamps: Altenew Flower Arrangement
Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black, PTI Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Ocean Tides, Lemon Tart, Harvest Gold.
Accessories: Altenew Flower Arrangement Dies, MFT Stitched Scallop Basic Edge Dies.

Two Hearts

Time for a new challenge at Addicted To CAS where the Code Word is WEDDING. Our Hostess with the mostest is Vicki.

To make my card, PTI's (retired) Love & Marriage stamp set immediately came to mind. I tossed around a few ideas for my design, and finally settled on this very simple image and sentiment. I heat embossed the heart/silhouette in red and added the sentiment (I love that font!) below. I tested a few different embellishments including silver flecks, but in the end, I left it very plain adding just one rhinestone to give it a bit of sparkle.

Please head on over to the ATCAS Challenge Blog, take a look at the wonderful inspiration pieces the Design Team has created for your inspiration, and make something to share in the gallery. Challenge winner will be offered a Guest Designer spot for a future challenge. Happy crafting!
Please remember that this is a CAS challenge. Here is a definition to remind you:

Hello

It's time for a new challenge at Less Is More. This time it is a ONE LAYER CARD with a theme of  SPOTS. There are so many ways to interpret the theme such as:
a dot, speck, speckle, fleck, smudge, smear, stain, blotch, blot, splash, daub, place, location, site,
position, point, situation, scene, setting, neighborhood... The possibilities are many. Just remember that there must be lots of clean white space on your card.

Our sponsor is Uniko Stamp Company.

April Winner, Maria Rodriguez, is Guest Designer for this cahellenge. She has an ecclectic style. Take a stroll though her blog and you will surely be inspired.

For my card, I dug deep into my stash and resurrected Papertrey Ink's (retired) Bits and Buttons stamp set and Simon Says Stamp Hello You. I used a variety of PTI inks for my spots, and VersaFine Onyx Black for the sentiment.

Wow That's Fantastic!

Time Out Challenge #138 is up and running with the theme of FUNNY.

Milla is our Guest Designer. Milla is a very talented paper crafter with an eclectic style and mad coloring skills! Do treat yourself to a visit to her blog and leave her some love. You'll be so glad you did.

For my card, I stamped "WTF" from sponsor stamps WTF2 using VersaFine Vintage Sepia ink on a piece of patterned paper from BasicGrey Kioshi collection. I then cut it out and adhered it to a strip of another paper from the same collection. I added a thin strip of copper colored glitter paper from American Crafts beneath it, stamped the sentiment from WTF2, and added a graphic design from sponsor stamps Bold Wishes.

You Are My Life's Anchor

Time for a new challenge at Addicted To CAS where the Code Word is FATHER. Our Hostess with the mostest is Jaydee.

To make my card, I first went through my stash to find a sentiment that spoke to me, and built my card from there. I had a dark blue anchor at first, but it was hard to see the word "DAD", so I unglued and re-did. I am much happier with this version. I also added some spatters and the knot too.

Please head on over to the ATCAS Challenge Blog, take a look at the wonderful inspiration pieces the Design Team has created for your inspiration, and make something to share in the gallery. Challenge winner will be offered a Guest Designer spot for a future challenge. Happy crafting!

Joy To The World

The June Christmas challenge is up and running at Happy Little Stampers. The theme is Anything Goes Christmas with an optional twist of NON TRADITIONAL. For my card, I used some patterned paper with traditional red and green, but also pink, blue and polka dots which I think deviates from the traditional. I had hoped that the glue I used to tack the vellum down was not going to show through the vellum when it dried, but it did. I was going to re-make the card, but I liked the way it turned out so much though, that I left it as is. The JOY die cut is stacked on 3 layers pf pink card stock, and the rest of the sentiment on the little banner die cut is heat embossed.

Please head over to Happy Little Stampers JUNE Christmas Challenge and see what the Design Team has created to inspire you. Christmas cards made throughout the year = less stress when Christmas rolls around in December. Be good to yourself and play with us!
