You Are Full Of Magic

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted To CAS. Our Code Word for ATCAS Challenge #183 is SILHOUETTE. Vicki is our hostess!

We have a wonderful Guest Designer with us for this challenge - Jane Taylor of Purplejet Loves Crafts. Jane is a very talented and prolific paper crafter. Her style is largely CAS, and her designs are amazing. She dabbles in all sorts of other crafts as well. Treat yourself to a stroll through her blog for a real treat.

I am thrilled with this card that I made for a dear friend who is always comforted by Mary Poppins when she needs a lift. God knows, we all need a lift these days from all that is happening in this world and on so many levels.

To create my card, I stamped the moon with all three images from Altenew's To The Moon with PTI Soft Stone and Altenew Evening Gray and Morning Frost inks. I then die cut it with the smaller circle die from the matching die set. I die cut the black panel with the moon die and inlaid the die cut moon. I used a sponge dauber to create the halo effect of the moon with Picket Fence Distress ink. I then stenciled Mary Poppins from JB Cookie Cutters with VersaFine Black Onyx ink. I mixed some glitter powder with embossing paste and applied it to the card base using Tim Holtz's Speckles Stencil. Finally, I stamped a sentiment from Gray Muse's You Grow Girl and die cut it with a Pink and Main Sentiment Strip die and popped it up. I adhered fun foam to the balck panel and then adhered that panel to a while Neeneh Solar White 110# card base.

Lucky To Have Each Other

A new challenge is up at Less Is More where the challenge is Scribbles, Drips and/or Splats.

To create my card, I used a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor card stock, wetting the bottom right corner generously. I sprinkled it with Brushos and moved the color around a bit by blowing on it. I die cut the heart from Neenah Solar White 80# card stock using Sizzix Scribbles and Splat die set. I added a sentiment from SSS, and die cut it with a die from Pink and Main Sentiment Strip Dies. I also splattered a bit of gold Heidi Swap metallic spray in the bottom right quadrant.

Please head over to the Less Is More Blog and see what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I hope you'll play along with us to share your creations and for a chance to win. Remember to keep your design Clean And Simple.

To create my card, I used 2 PTI sets that I have had in my stash for many years - On My Couch and On My Couch Additions. I created a little scene with an embossed frame that is totally inspired quite literally by the photo. It was so fun to put together.

Love You

I love this photo inspiration at Inspired By...  Spring Is Here Challenge. I came up with a design that I really loved for this challenge with some quite old and some some new supplies. The wreath was a wood mounted rubber stamp that I removed from the wood block. Using my MISTI, colored it with SU markers using light and dark pinks and greens (ancient and still fabulous) about a third of the image at a time, and stamped. I used the matching die to cut out the wreath. I stenciled the stripes, and added the sentiment. I just love the way it turned out.

Here are the supplies that I used:
Memory Box Mercer Rose Wreath wood mounted rubber stamp
Memory Box Mercer Rose Wreath craft die
Stampin' Up markers applied direct to stamp
SSS Tiny Words Encouragement stamps
Pink and Main Sentiment Strip Die
SSS Diagonal Stripe stencil
PTI Soft Stone Ink
VersaFine Onyx Black Ink

New Digs

I needed a card for a dear friend's daughter who just moved into her first "grown up" apartment (after  college). I ran across THIS card which was one of the Inkspirational Top Picks for their Chair Photo  Challenge #209. I CASE'd it with a few changes like using a black card base, greenery in the vase, wonky stitched border. Copic coloring and sentiment, but I kept the arrangement the same. Thank you Sky, for the inspiration.

Team You

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted To CAS. Our Code Word for ATCAS Challenge #183 is ANIMAL. Jaydee is our hostess!

For my card, I stamped this adorable image from Picket Fence Studios' Stand In The Sunshine, colored it with Copics and die cut it with the matching dies. I stenciled a small area of the card base with Tim Holtz's Woodgrain stencil using Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink, and placed the die cut on top of it popping it up with foam tape. The sentiment from SSS CZ Design Simple Sentiments 02 is heat embossed, die cut with a Pink & Main Sentiment Strip die, and popped up with foam tape.

Bunny Family 4

I used Oh Bunny stamps and dies to make a family Easter card this year as I had some time to do It. I love the images in this set. The funny thing is that my twin sons are way taller than me and one is a little taller than my very tall husband. The scale is a little off, but you get the picture... LOL. I also used Paper Smooches Botanicals 3 stamps and dies, Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Stackable dies, and MFT Fishtail Flags Die-namics. I made and mailed a bunch of these to send Easter smiles from a distance.

Bunny Family 5

I made this for my stepson's adorable family of five. I used the same supplies in my card above, but  different bunny images from Simon Says Stamp's Oh Bunny stamps and dies. This family has three very little kids ages 4, 2 and newborn, so the 5 bunny image was perfect for them. I also used Paper Smooches Botanicals 3 stamps and dies, Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Stackable dies, and MFT Fishtail Flags Die-namics.
