Cathedral Window Christmas

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out. Challenge #320 is a Photo Inspiration where we are challenged to take something from the photo to inspire our project. This fabulous photo was taken in Barcelona by our own Design Team Member Kate Lesh. We are so excited to see where it takes you!

Here is an enlargement of the photo that shows more detail.

Photo credit: katherine Lesh - Inside Gaudi's Sagrada Familia - Barcelona, Spain - September 15, 2025

We are sponsored by Top Flight Stamps with  a $25.00 store credit to spend at the Top Flight Store as the prize for our Challenge Winner as chosen by our Design Team. Our winner will also receive an invitation to join us as Guest Designer in a future challenge,

Our Guest Designer is Jane Taylor of Purplejet and winner of Time Out #315. You can view her fabulous Guest Designer project on the Time Out Challenge Blog where you can also link to her Instagram challenge post for details.

I could not help but mimic the gorgeous stained glass windows with the Cathedral Window dies from The Greetery. I deeded to use my much neglected alcohol inks for the stained glass and the Pine Bough dies to dress them up for Christmas.

Please head on over to the Time Out Challenge Blog where you can see the fabulous projects from the Design Team to inspire you. Come play with us! We would LOVE to see you in the gallery! Before you link your project, please read our "How To Play" guidelines on the sidebar of the Time Out Challenge Blog.

Always In My Heart

There 's a new challenge at Time Out starting today. It's a "Pick 2" challenge where we are challenged to  pick at least 2 of the six given promptss and incorporate them into our projects. You may pick more than 2 but you must pick at least 2. Our prompts this time are:
Geometric, Floral, Monochrome, Stitching, Sun and CAS.

We are generously sponsored by Newton's Nook Designs with an offer of a $25 store credit as a prize for our Challenge Winner. In addition, the winner will receive an invitation to join us as a Guest Designer for a future challenge.

We
are joined by Heather Heroldt of Handmade By Heather and winner of Time Out #314, as Guest Designer. Heather
is a talented card maker and a frequent player at Time Out. Check out her wonderful Hard on the Time Out Challenge Blog where you can link to her card on her blog.

For my card, I chose Floral and CAS. I colored the horizontal strips with PTI inks in a summer-y color combination. I don't know where those little black dashes come from. they are not visible in my design when you look at it IRL. I think the sharpening tool in my photo editor went a little overboard without my permission!

Please head on over to the Time Out Challenge Blog and join us in the gallery. Pick at least 2 of our prompts for your project. Don't forget to tell us in your post, what your picks were. I can't wait to see where your imagination takes you!

Change Your Altitude

There's a new challenge at Time Out Challenges starting today! This Inspired By challenge celebrates Mother Nature. We are looking for projects inspired by
The Environment: Mountains, oceans, forests, weather, and ecosystems.
Living Things: Plants, animals, and natural phenomena.
Nature Itself: Features and processes that exist independently of human creation.

We are generously sponsored by Lawn Fawn with a $25.00 Store Credit for our Challenge Winner as chosen by our Design Team. Winner will also be invited to Guest Design with us for a future challenge.
We do not have a Guest Designer for this challenge.

When pondering what to do for my project, I thought of the gorgeous edger stencils from a Colorful life Designs. My card is heavily influenced by THIS YouTube video from Amy's Wares. I ink blended several base panels to start and once they were done, I knocked over a glass of water that "washed" them all. I wanted to cry a little, but honestly it was a happy accident.  They dried beautifully and I got back to work. The stenciling took very little time. I added and heat embossed my sentiment and my card was complete. I am pleased with this nod to Mother Nature.

Please head on over to the Time Out Challenge Blog where you can see what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. Before you link your project, please read our "How To Play" guidelines on the sidebar of the Time Out Challenge Blog. Come play with us. We can't wait to see what you create! 🌿

Sandpiper Birthday

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out. Challenge #317 is a theme challenge where we are challenged to be inspired by: WATER You could go in so many different directions with this., We are so excited to see where it takes you!

We are sponsored by our own Design Team Member Jaydee who is generously offering Pinkfresh Studios Berries & Blossoms Stamp, Die & Stencil Bundle as the prize for our Challenge Winner who is chosen by our Design Team. Our winner will also receive an invitation to join us as Guest Designer in a future challenge,

Our Guest Designer is Kathy Asper of myasperations. Kathy is a frequent player at Time Out and she was the winner of Time Challenge #312. You can see her fabulous water themed card on the Time Out Challenge Blog HERE.

For my card, I decided to finally break out some NBUS Honey Bee and other supplies that have been waiting to be used for quite some time. I created a beach and ocean scene and added a little sandpiper birdie and some shells to the surf. I do love to watch sandpipers frantically running back and forth along the shoreline to match the rhythm of the waves. This is commonly called wave-chasing or a wave "dance". You never really see one sandpiper - they move quickly in the sky and surf in large groups and you can almost hear them "talking" as they run into the receding waves. It's a sight I love to see here on the beaches of New Jersey.

Please head on over to the Time Out Challenge Blog where you can see what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. Come play with us! We would LOVE to see you in the gallery! Before you link your project, please read our "How To Play" guidelines on the sidebar of the Time Out Challenge Blog.

Hope Your Birthday Is A Splash

There's a new challenge at Time Out. This time it is a Photo Inspiration Challenge.

This photo enlargement will help you see the details.

For your project, you can take inspiration from the entire picture, or just pick one or a few things as your starting point. For example you can pick stripes or the glass of iced tea for your inspiration, or the pool or make it about summer, or focus on the trees and sky... Use your imagination. Whatever your choice, please tell us in your post, how you were inspired by the photo.

Our wonderful sponsor is Lawn Fawn with a generous prize of a $25.00 store credit for our challenge winner who will also be invited to join us as a Guest Designer for a future challenge..

I love this photo and interpreted it rather literally. I used an embossing folder for the stone around the pool, placed the photographer on a pink striped raft in the pool, added a blue striped umbrella like the blue & white pillow in the photo, put some palm trees in the scene and matted it on black cardstock to mimic the lanai. This was a very fun card to make.

Please head on over to the Time Out Challenge Blog where you can see what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. Come play with us! We would LOVE to see you in the gallery!

Cheers On Your Birthday

There's a new challenge at Time Out starting today. It is an "Inspired By" Challenge where we are challenged to create a project featuring "A Favorite Drink".  There are so many ways to go with this. Think warm or iced coffee or tea, champagne, lemonade, latte, water, cocktail, mocktail, matcha, bubble tea... and the list goes on.

Whatever inspires your project, please be sure to tell us about it in your post. We can’t wait to see what you create!... use your imagination and come play with us!

We are generously sponsored by our Design Team Member Carol McFarland with a wonderful hand made Beverage Bag for our winner. Thank you, dear Carol, for offering this fun prize to our Challenge Winner!

We are joined by Joanne James of The Crafty Owl as Guest Designer, and winner of Challenge #309. Check out her FABULOUS card on the Time Out Challenge Blog where you can link to Joanne's blog and get all the details of her creation.

I can't say I have a favorite drink, but I can say that I love to drink from beautiful glassware. If it is a cocktail, iced tea, mocktail or anything else, I LOVE to drink it from a beautiful glass. That made me pull out my new-to-me BetterPress Classy Glasses Press Plate. I inked it up with silver metallic ink, then stenciled it with the coordinating stencil. I added a BetterPress sentiment that was popped up with 3 extra die cuts, and my card was complete.

Please head on over the the Time Out Challenge Blog and join us in the gallery. Create something featuring a favorite drink on your project! I can't wait to see where your imagination takes you!
