Aloha Emily!

This is the back of my grand niece Emily in this adorable bathing suit (Land's End) last summer. The minute I saw it, I saw a card. It only took me a year to actually make, but I was inspired by the current CCCB challenge to finally do it. I can't wait to send it to her!

To create my card, I used Reverse Confetti's Big Stripes Cover Plate and Sugar Pea Designs Pineapple Paradise stamps.

Be A Mermaid

Addicted To CAS Challenge #141 is up and running with code word: SUMMERTIME.

For my card, I created a background on watercolor paper with Jane Davenport Mermaid Markers. I heat embossed the mermaid's tail from Essentials By Ellen Inner Mermaid in silver on vellum, die cut it with a matching die, mounted it on the watercolor background and added the sentiment.

True Directon

Time Out Challenge #114 is up and running.
This time around, it's a Home Sweet Home Challenge - A photo inspiration challenge with a homey twist! Here is the photo:

For my card, I created a watercolor background with Distress Oxide Inks in 4 shades of blue, die cut it with the Wave and Sea Fancy Die from Hero Arts, and mounted it on Neenah Solar White 110# card stock.  I die cut a Kraft frame and stamped it with a rope image from Clear Arts Stamps Seaside set in Kraft ink to mimic the weave in the seats and coffee table in the photo. The sentiment is Typographia Motivate - True Direction from STAMPlorations stamped in VersaFine Majestic Blue. I LOVE the font on the Typographia stamps!

STAMPlorations is the Challenge Sponsor.

Challenge winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. Plus there will be a random winner  drawn from all entries to receive a goodie bag of stamps and dies from the STAMPlorations store.

Guest Designer for this challenge is Amanda of Diamond Laine Designs,  She has an ecclectic style that is sure to inspire you. Treat yourself to a visit to her blog.

Our challenge sponsor is Sarah Gray. Sarah has her own line of fabulous, versatile and unique stencils available for purchase in her Folksy Store - check them out here. You can also see a selection of cards Sarah has made using her stencils on her Instagram account here.

I sell my stencils here

The winner of this challenge will receive their choice of 3 of Sarah's stencils.

To create my card, I went right to the Smile! stamp set from Happy Little Stampers. As I looked at each of the sentiments in the set, the one I used on my card called to me. The silhouette image from Happy Little Stampers Wish You Were Here stamp set immediately came to mind. I stamped it on a panel from my bits box that was made with Distress Oxide Inks and stamped with Full On Floral from CAS-ual Fridays. I thought it had a "mod", "retro" feel and went perfectly with the sentiment. I added a few sequins, and that was it!

Saw That

It's a new month and that means a new challenge at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge! The twist for July is SANTA.  To create my card, I stamped Winnie And Walter Mini Scenery: The Peppermint Zone with Versa Mark Ink on a panel of Neenah Solar White. I heat embossed with red embossing powder and die cut the entire panel with a Nestabilities rectangle die. I then used the Santa and sentiment from Ellen Hutson's Tis The Season (retired) by Julie Ebersole to complete the design, along with a strip of Real Red cardstock on the left.
