Boo To You Too!

I'm having lots of Halloween fun with my new Reverse Confetti stash: Monsterous stamps and dies, Wonky Shaped Rectangle die and Boo To You Circle. There are 5 kids in my family who are 6 years old and under, so I have been crafting up a storm for them. Jeanne Jachna of A Kept Life designed a card to showcase the new Wonky Stripe Panel Confetti Cuts on the Reverse Confetti website. She  used two sentiments from the Monsterous stamp set to create a border. I loved that idea and used it here. I just love that "fang-tastic" little blue monster!

Boo To You

I have created some really fun halloween cards lately, for the littles in my life. I made some Reverse Confetti purchases and combined them with some papers that have been in my stash for ages and some Copic markers and voila! I also took the big leap into something I never have before, and is crazy that as a cardmaker this was a first for me, but I broke out some GLITTER. Not glitter paper - GLITTER!!!! And I loved it. Thank you Jenny Colacicco and Jill Vickers for making me do this. It only took me a year after your encouragement for me to take the plunge.
Lesson learned: Stick-It + Glitter = fabulousness!!!!

Thankful

I love this season of gratitude and the colors, sights, scents and mostly everything that goes along with it. When I saw the CAS Colors and Sketches Challenge #246, Concord & 9th's Layering Leaves dies came right to my mind. I smooshed 3 panels of watercolor paper with the three Color Throwdown #466 Distress Ink colors, sprayed them with Ranger Distress Antiqued Bronze Mica Spray Copper, and die cut them. I mounted the die cuts on Ranger Distress Woodgrain Cardstock, framed the panel with a snippet that had been cut from Avery Elle Scalloped Pierced Rectangle, and added a die cut sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps Thanks and Giving Honey Cuts. I must say, I love the way it came out.

Give Thanks

I am so excited today to present this card for this week's Muse Challenge #239. I am so thrilled to be Guest Designer this week. I made the background with a variety of DOX inks, then stamped the leaf image from the Stampendous Pen Pattern leaves stamp set with Tsukineko Delicata Golden Glitz Pigment ink. The sentiment is from a wonderful Thanksgiving Themed set called Autumn Blessings by Jillian Vance.

Happy Halloween

I'm in Halloween Card mode today - need to make cards for my niece and nephews... so I took out some wood mounted rubber stamps from the old Halloween stash, used the sketch from the current CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #244 for my layout, and here is what I came up wth.

Oceans Of Joy

There's a new challenge over at Time Out Challenges - It's a "Home Sweet Home" theme, and the inspiration is the photograph above. As I so often do, I went with a literal take. The photo is so intriguing to me - I have such a love for things of the sea. I love the combination and contrast of the white seahorse and shells and the bright orange pumpkins. I did not place pumpkins in my design, though I did add bits of orange. The coral inside the shaker is stamped with an image from Designs By Ryn. The other stamped images and sentiment are all Hero Arts.

Our Guest Designer for both the challenge and reminder posts for Time Out #94 is Janet of Swanlady Impressions. Janet is a CAS rock star. Her work is swoon-worthy. As I strolled through her blog, I was filled with inspiration and delight. Treat yourself to a visit to Swanlady Inpressions. You will be so glad you did.

Our sponsor for this challenge is STAMPlorations. The challenge winner will be awarded a $10 gift voucher to use in the Stamplorations store.

Ponder the inspiration photo, and see where it takes you. Create a project, link up and play with us at Time Out Challenges. I can't wait to see what come up with!

Washi Halloween

I just got some fun new washi tapes from WashiFul (Etsy), and when I saw the sketch at AAA Challenge #100, I knew just what I would do. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Fall Sampler embossed with Ranger Orange EP.

On My Mind

I tend to avoid making specifically male cards except when I need them, and when I need them, it is often too late to just whip something together. Then I goto the store and buy a stupidly expensive card and promise myself I will make more male oriented cards, and I don't... you know the drill. SO - I have decided to try to play at The Male Room as often as I can. With that said, when I saw the theme of the current challenge, the first time that came to mind was MFT's "Just My Type" vintage typewriter stamp and die set that I have had for a very long time. I just love the image, and well, albeit ancient, the typewriter was once a new-fangled invention that changed the world in many ways, right?? So I went hunting for some patterned paper that would work, die cut it with a stitched wonky rectangle, added some twine and a crystal heart, and there you have it!

Enjoy The Season Of Color

The October Happy Little Stampers October Anything Goes With Dies Challenge is up and Running. As always, the theme is Anything Goes as long as you use dies on your project. Winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the Happy Little Stampers Shop! Check out all the details HERE.

The leaves are die cut and stamped with PTI's Leaf Prints stamps and dies and fastened with a piece of linen twine. I distressed the edges of a panel of SU Confetti Cream paper, adhered the bunch of leaves to it, and stamped the sentiment from Paper Smooches Fall Sampler using VersaFine Vintage Sepia Ink. The word "autumn" from Winnie & Walter's Big, Bold Seasons was die cut from a watercolored panel from another project. I placed it across the bunch of leaves and added some Clear Nuvo Drops to simulate autumn dew.

Please head over the the Happy Little Stampers October Anything Goes With Dies Challenge and check out the awesome projects created for your inspiration by the HLS AGWD Designers. Get out your die cutting device and play along to share your creativity and for a chance to win!

Peace

It's time for a new game at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge. As usual, it's all Christmas all of the time with a twist. This time, the twist is to to include a "Silhouette" in your project.

This crazy world in which we live is crying for peace and I feel compelled to use that theme frequently for my cards. I used my "Tree Silhouette" wood-mounted stamp from Memory Box - one of my most favorite stamps. It always evokes thoughts of cool, quiet, peaceful, snowy terrain.

I inked up an acrylic block with Distress Oxide Inks in 3 shades of blue, spritzed the block with water, and then smooshed a piece of Bristol paper onto the block and twisted it a little. I then sprayed it with shimmer mist. The word "peace" is die cut from black glitter paper, and "on earth" was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. The smooshed panel is raised with foam tape and mounted on a panel of white linen paper, which is mounted on Neenah Solar White  110 lb card stock.

Please head over to the Happy Little Stampers October Christmas Challenge and see what the awesome Design Team has created for your inspiration. Christmas is not far off, so craft something Christmas-y and play with us.
