Congrats!

Time for a new challenge at Addicted To CAS where the Code Word is GRADUATION. Our Hostess with the mostest is Angie..

I went with a traditional (High School) graduation card. I wanted to use the recipient's school colors, black and yellow, for my card. My stamp and die are from Papertrey Ink. I am away from my craft desk at the moment, and I do not know the names of the stamp set and die, but I believe they are both retired. I love the simplicity of this card, though I felt the addition of the twine was necessary to finish it off well, still keeping it a CAS design.

Please head on over to the ATCAS Challenge Blog, take a look at the wonderful inspiration pieces the Design Team has created for your inspiration, and make something to share in the gallery. Challenge winner will be offered a Guest Designer spot for a future challenge. Happy crafting!

Please remember that this is a CAS challenge. Here is a definition to remind you:

Put On A Tutu

It's time for a new challenge at Less Is More. We are challenged to make a card or cards with the theme of CAS EMBOSSING - Heat embossing or dry embossing but if using folders it must be less than 1/3 of the card embossed.

Our sponsor is CAS-UAL Fridays Stamps.

For my card, I used CAS-UAL Fridays Tutu set, which I adore. stamped the image with VersaMark, heat embossed it in black, and colored it with various shades of pink. I needed a card of encouragement for a friend, and this was the perfect image and sentiment for her. I die cut my panel with Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Lawn Cuts, and mounted it on a white card base.

Magical Birthday

Woo Hoo! I am posting as Guest Designer for CASology today where the cue card is: COLOR. What an honor it is to be designing with this rock star DT!!! I'm so pleased and grateful for this opportunity.

I wanted to come up with something way out of the box for my creation, but the cue kept my mind going back to magical, wonderful, hopeful rainbows. In the end I chose a pinwheel image from Altenew's Be Strong Stamp Set to create my card. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink 7 times (R-O-Y-G-B-I-V) colored them with Copics, covered them with clear Wink Of Stella, and cut them out with the matching die. Only six pinwheels fit across my card, so blue/indigo are combined :) . I was tempted to put a jewel in the center of each pinwheel but in the interest of keeping my design CAS, I resisted the urge. I wanted to add a little interest to the card base, so split it using Paper Smooches Borders 1 die and a piece of polka dot vellum from PTI. I adhered the pinwheels over the opening and added a sentiment is from MFT's Rainbow Of Happiness.

Please head on over to the CASology Challenge Blog and see what the incredibly talented Design Team of Rock Stars has created for your inspiration. I hope you are inspired to get colorful and play.

Coffee

It's time for a new challenge at Less Is More. We are challenged to make a card or cards with the theme of BEVERAGES. Fun!!!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is our fantastic March winner Helen of Helen's Craft Haven. Do treat yourself to a stroll through her wonderful blog for lots of inspiration and leave her some love.

Our sponsor is CAS-UAL Fridays Stamps.

For my card, I used CAS-UAL Fridays Coffee Talk set. I wanted the word COFFEE to take the stage and then pair it with one of the hilarious sentiments in the set. The coffee cup silhouette is cut with CUTplorations Coffee Cup Silhouette Die. I cut it from a snippet of paper in my stash that had been inked with Distress Oxide inks. I placed the word coffee on my card base and stamped it a few times with my MISTI to get a crisp image.I placed the die cut over the word and stamped a few more times. I then added the other part of the sentiment below the die cut. The coffee beans are cut from another snippet using Sugar Pea Designs Coffee Words dies.

Please head over to the Less Is More Blog, see what Helen and the Design Team have created for your inspiration. I hope you'll play along with us to share your creations and have chance to win. Remember to keep your design Clean And Simple.
