Every Shade Of Happy

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted To CAS. Our Code Word for ATCAS Challenge #185 is RAINBOW. Ceal is our hostess.

We have a wonderful Guest Designer with us for this challenge - Hannelie.  Desert Diva Hannelie's artistry always takes my breath away. Do treat yourself to a stroll through her blog for some incredible inspiration.

To create my card, I used Gina K's Be The Rainbow set for my image and sentiment. I colored the rainbow with Stampin' Up Stampin' Write Markers that I have owned for more years than I can remember. It is amazing to me that they are still as fresh as ever. I colored and stamped each arc several times directly on to the Neenah Solar White 110# card base using my MISTI to get full coverage. I added a sentiment from the same set using VersaFine Onyx Black ink, and my card was complete.

Please head on over to the ATCAS Challenge Blog, take a look at the wonderful creations that Hannelie and the Design Team have created for your inspiration, and make something to share in the gallery. Challenge winner will be offered a Guest Designer spot for a future challenge. Happy crafting!

Please remember that this is a CAS challenge. Here is a definition to remind you:

Salt Water

A new challenge is up at Less Is More where the challenge is Going Dotty.
A one layer card with anything with dots e.g. images, sentiments, backgrounds...

To create my card, I used Picket Fence Studios A Bottomless Sea stamp for my dotty image and sentiment. After stamping the background with Catherine Pooler It's A Boy Ink I heat embossed it with glitter embossing powder to give it sparkle. I stamped the sentiment over the bubbles with VersaFine Onyx Black ink, and heat embossed I with clear embossing powder.

Be Free

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out!!! With Time Out Challenge #162, we are challenged to be FREE!

We are generously sponsored by Visible Image Stamps.

Our wonderful Guest Designer is Joanna of Jo-Jo's Spot. Joanna's style is largely CAS. Her creativity and her eye for design design is fantastic. Treat yourself to a stroll through her blog where you are sure to be inspired.

I grew up in a family full of people who are known to break into song at any given moment, often with the same song at the same time, in the same key. When I saw this challenge, The Beatles Free As A Bird started playing in my head. It's a common phrase, but it was the song that inspired me. With that said, I started humming, and broke out some watercolors. I colored a sky, added some birds from STAMPlorations Trendy Birds 2 along with a sentiment from the same set. I die cut the watercolored panel with an Avery Elle Wonky Stitches die, mounted it on a white card base, and my card was done.

Please hop on over to the Time Out Blog to see the wonderful creations that Joanna and our Design Team came up with to inspire you. Come play with us!

I die cut the background in vellum, then die cut the words with vanilla cardstock, glued them together, and placed the words over the lacy stenciling.

Music and Rythm

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out!!! Time Out Challenge #161 is a theme challenge - The Arts. Music is my art of choice.

We are generously sponsored by Birch Press Design.

Music is the first thing that came to mind when I thought about what to make for this challenge. I grew up in a family of singers, played piano, fronted a rock band... I love theater, dance, art museums - you name it. This one is right up my alley!

To create my card, I used a PTI set that I have had in my stash for many years - Rhythm and Soul. I stamped the guitar, watercolored it with Zigs and fussy cut it out. I popped it up on a Memory Box die cut - Virtuoso Music. The sentiment is also from the Rythm and Soul stamp set. I splattered some Heidi Swap gold color shine around the  images.

Please hop on over to the Time Out Blog to see the wonderful creations that our Design Team came up with to inspire you. Come play with us!
