Slimline Christmas Joy 2

2023 Christmas Card #2. I am diggin' this slimline design with this wonderful bauble. This time I used many of the same supplies as the last one, but changed up the patterned paper and the die cut for "Joy". I just love the way these have turned out.

Less Is More #469 starts today. We are challenged to create a CAS card using traditional Christmas Colors.

To create my card, I stamped the Mistletoe & Holly image from the CAS-ual Fridays stamp set of the same name. I colored it with Copics and Wink Of Stella. I die cut the bow in red glitter paper from the matching dies and glued it to the image. I added a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Christmas and my card was complete.

Joy To The World

The June Christmas challenge is up and running at Happy Little Stampers. The theme is Anything Goes Christmas with an optional twist of NON TRADITIONAL. For my card, I used some patterned paper with traditional red and green, but also pink, blue and polka dots which I think deviates from the traditional. I had hoped that the glue I used to tack the vellum down was not going to show through the vellum when it dried, but it did. I was going to re-make the card, but I liked the way it turned out so much though, that I left it as is. The JOY die cut is stacked on 3 layers pf pink card stock, and the rest of the sentiment on the little banner die cut is heat embossed.

I decided to make a shaker with the Hero Arts Fir Tree Infinity Dies. I backed the aperture with patterned paper with the sheet music for "Oh Christmas Tree" for an added affect.
