Just A Note

I needed some music themed thank you cards for some friends who recently gave me a very special musical gift. In the process, I used the little heart note from CAS-ual Fridays to try it with this design, and I LOST it. I have looked for it for 2 days. Cleaned up my whole desk (a feat for sure) and it is nowhere to be found. SO I plan B'd and used this Treble Clef, which is fine, but the note was preferred. I am bummed. I do like the way this turned out, but am now obsessed with finding the lost note and I have run out of places to look.

CAS Outdoor Christmas

Less Is More #478 starts today and ends on December 1st. This is the last Less Is More challenge until March 2023. There is also a DT call going on. Please see the Less Is More Blog for details.

We are challenged to create a Clean & Simple
card with the theme of "outdoors".

I stenciled part of the Memory Box Garden Birch Trees Stencil with PTI Soft Stone ink on matching card stock. I added 2 stamped, die cut images and a sentiment from Hero Arts Color Layering Snowy Tree stamp set, mounted the Soft Stone panel on a SU Cherry Cobbler card base, and my card was complete.

Please head over to the Less Is More Blog and see what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I hope you'll play along with us to share your creations. Remember to keep your design Clean And Simple which we define as designs that include large areas of CLEAR AND CLEAN space with NO PATTERN, NO INK and NO TEXTURE See challenge guidelines on the Less Is More Blog.

Friends Are The Family That We Choose

I'm working on some Thanksgiving cards today. Thanksgiving is by far, my favorite holiday. I wanted to use my NBUS SSS Eucalyptus Dies, and I also wanted to play at Color Throwdown #718. I am screaming in on the last day, but I love the colors and they work for my Thanksgiving theme today. While looking for some inspiration, I ran across a card in THIS post (the first card)  and I decided to CASE it.

Supplies Used:

Ink - VersaFine Onyx Black; PTI Soft Stone

Joyous Wishes

I just got this beautiful Altenew Mistletoe Wreath stamp, die, and stencil sets and the matching embossing folder. I made this card using the colors for Just Add Ink Challenge #628
and lo and behold, I missed the deadline! Oh well...

I really love the way it turned out using 2 shades of pink, 2 shades of turquoise and a dark purple. I foiled a greeting from Spellbinders in rose gold, and I also used the Detail Ringlet Plate from SSS to give the background a little texture.

Merry Christmas

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out. Challenge #177 - a Photo Inspiration Challenge with the awesome photo above. I love all of that gorgeous whiteness, and there are so many wonderful elements to choose from.

We are very generously sponsored by STAMPlorations. Challenge winner will receive a $25.00 gift voucher to use in the STAMPlorations Store.

Vicky from Crafting Clare's Paper Moments is our wonderful Guest Designer. Vicky's creations are full of wonderful design, color and wit. You will LOVE her work. Head over to her blog for a visit. You are sure to be delighted and inspired.

For my card, I chose to use the Christmas tree as the focal point surrounded with all of that glorious whiteness. I die cut the tree on a panel of white linen card stock and again on green glitter paper. I inlaid the green glitter cuts into the white negative, then I die cut the linen panel with a scalloped rectangle die to give it a festive look. I adhered the linen panel to a foam panel and the to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110# card stock.

Please hop on over to the Time Out Challenge Blog to see the wonderful creations that Vicky and the Design Team came up with to inspire you. Come play with us!

Thankful

It's time for a new challenge at Festive Friday where every challenge is an inspiration list based on a selected holiday/festivity from the traditional to the unusual. Challenge projects must include at least three items from the festivity inspiration list.

Since the Inspiration List is a mix of elements related to the festivity, the creator has the choice to make something for that festivity, or to ignore the festivity all together and create something using just the three (or more) elements selected.

For my Thanksgiving-themed project, I used: thankful theme, leaves, and pumpkins. The leaf dies are are from PTI Leaf Prints. The sentiment is from PTI Phrase Play #7. The embossing folder is by Provo Craft.

Team You

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted To CAS. Our Code Word for ATCAS Challenge #183 is ANIMAL. Jaydee is our hostess!

For my card, I stamped this adorable image from Picket Fence Studios' Stand In The Sunshine, colored it with Copics and die cut it with the matching dies. I stenciled a small area of the card base with Tim Holtz's Woodgrain stencil using Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink, and placed the die cut on top of it popping it up with foam tape. The sentiment from SSS CZ Design Simple Sentiments 02 is heat embossed, die cut with a Pink & Main Sentiment Strip die, and popped up with foam tape.

Please head on over to the ATCAS Challenge Blog, take a look at the wonderful inspiration pieces the Design Team has created for your inspiration, and make something to share in the gallery. Challenge winner will be offered a Guest Designer spot for a future challenge. Happy crafting!

Please remember that this is a CAS challenge. Here is a definition to remind you:

Bunny Family 5

I made this for my stepson's adorable family of five. I used the same supplies in my card above, but  different bunny images from Simon Says Stamp's Oh Bunny stamps and dies. This family has three very little kids ages 4, 2 and newborn, so the 5 bunny image was perfect for them. I also used Paper Smooches Botanicals 3 stamps and dies, Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Stackable dies, and MFT Fishtail Flags Die-namics.
