Peace & Comfort

https://cas-ualfridaysstamps.com/products

A new challenge is up at Less Is More with a color theme of red, raspberry and grey. Our sponsor for March is CAS-ual Friday Stamps.

For my card, I stamped an image from CAS-ual Friday's Casual Comfort stamp set and 2 shades of Altenew inks. I stamped the sentiment in grey from the same set and die cut that panel with Spellbinders Hemstitch Rectangles. I backed that rectangle with a piece of grey card stock and mounted the smaller rectangle to a card base.

Please head over to the Less Is More Blog and see what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I hope you'll play along with us to share your creations and for a chance to win. Remember to keep your design Clean And Simple.

To be eligible for showCASe and PRIZE WINNER choices you will need to carefully follow the guidance on our GLOSSARY OF TERMS and our HOW TO PLAY pages. Your design should feature lots of clean / white / blank / non patterned / non textured space. All challenge details are on the Less Is More blog. Good Luck!

Let's Celebrate!

It's time for a new challenge and a Happy 6th Birthday celebration at Time Out!!! The theme for Time Out Challenge #157 is BIRTHDAY with an optional twist of die cutting or fussy cutting. Our very wonderful and generous sponsor is Shery Russ of STAMPlorations fame.  She has offered a $40.00 gift voucher to the STAMPlorations store for the winner chosen randomly from those who twist. The challenge winner of the DT vote will be offered a future challenge guest designer spot.

Our Guest Designer is Christine. Her designs are spectacular. Please treat yourself to a visit to her blog and give her some love.

I LOVE being a design team member of Time Out Challenges, and I truly LOVE my Time Out Teammates. What a wonderful community of crafters. I started out as a player, and was later invited to join the Design Team. I was so excited. I was introduced as a DT member on 10/08/2016 in THIS post, and my first contribution was with  THIS card on 10/13/2016. I am so happy to be a part of the sixth birthday celebration of this wonderful challenge which was born of the creativity and friendship of 2 amazing papercrafters - Sandie Munro and Nonni Niskanen. The challenge has grown so much since its inception, and it is pure joy to be a part of it. It is currently run by Sandie Munro with the assistance of other team members. This mainly card purple card is in Sandie's honor. She is an awesome administrator and a wonderful person. Happy Birthday Time Out!!!!

For my card,  I used a couple of alcohol inking techniques on 2 different Yupo panels. Both turned out in a way that complimented the other. The panel I used for the base is subtle. The top one is much more bold and is die cut (twist) with STAMPlorations Bloomtangled 2. I added a white, heat embossed sentiment from Winnie and Walter's The Party cut from deep purple card stock to finish  it. Please hop on over to the Time Out Blog to see the wonderful creations that Christine and our Design Team came up with to inspire you. Hi Tweets

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS. Our Code Word for ATCAS Challenge #179 is SYMMETRY. How fun!!

Raga is our hostess!

For my card, I used the mirror stamping technique to create this symmetrical design using Paper Smooches Mirror Blocks stamp set and the techniques shown in THIS video by Jennifer McGuire on Mirror Stamping and Die Cutting. My birdie images are from Paper Smooches My Peeps stamps and dies and Lawn Fawn Reverse Stitched Scalloped Circle Windows die. Birdies are colored with Zigs. I purposely did not add a sentiment to the front to keep it wholly symmetrical. I can use this one for a variety of occasions and stamp the sentiment inside when I want to mail it.

Your Hard Work

This is the last challenge where we celebrate Less Is More's 9th Birthday and the 8th Birthday of Uniko Stamps, our wonderful sponsor.

For Less Is More #414, we have a continuation of the theme of sizes, and this week it is Big And Small. For example an elephant and a mouse, a large sentiment and a tiny image, a big flower and a small flower, a large square, a small square... Something like that!

When I saw the prompt, I immediately thought of this image from Paper Smooches A Little Lovin set and decided to craft my card around it. This is a card of pride and encouragement for one of my sons who is seeing the fruits of his labors at school. He has always been such a hard worker. He has had some significant obstacles to overcome along his way. Things are really coming together for him at the moment, so this one is for him. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Encouragement. It is full of wonderful sayings.

Please head over to the Less Is More Blog and see what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I hope you'll play along with us to share your creations and for a chance to win. Remember to keep your design Clean And Simple.

Happy Place

There's a new challenge up at Time Out, and this time it's a photo inspiration.
See the photo above.

We are generously sponsored by Altenew.
Challenge winner will receive a 20.00 gift voucher to the Altenew store.
.

Our Guest Designer is Maria Fischer of rieslingmama. Maria is a wonderful paper crafter whose art is eclectic and colorful, fun and fabulous. Maria is the winner of Time Out #152 with THIS wonderful card. Please go visit her BLOG for some wonderful inspiration.

When I saw our inspiration photo, I immediately thought of the stacked suitcase image from Paper Smooches Get Outta Town set, and I knew I would start there with my creation. My card is super simple, but I fussed with it for hours (not kidding) trying all different layouts, embellishments, etc.. I wanted to incorporate at least one frame like those on the wall, so in the end I went with a die from Paper Smooches Chains die set.

Please hop on over to the Time Out Blog to see the wonderful creations that Maria and our Design Team came up with to inspire you to play with us!

Mid Century Modern Happy Birthday

You still have time to play with Time Out Challenge #155, which is inspired by words:
"It's your birthday, so party and throw acts of kindness around like confetti".

We are celebrating the 8th birthday of Uniko, our wonderful and generous sponsor.

We wish owner Bev Brown, continued success and many more celebrations of her awesome business. Check out Uniko birthday fun going on HERE. Our challenge winner will receive a clear stamp set of their choice.

In addition to celebrating Uniko's birthday, our inspiration words are also in recognition of Random Acts Of Kindness Day, which is celebrated yearly on February 17th.

Our Guest Designer is Sue of Sentimentally Sue. Sue a very talented paper crafter. Her work is such an inspiration and a joy to behold. Please go visit her BLOG. You are sure to be inspired.

To create my card, I stamped different elements of  Uniko's Mid Century Modern Florals creating a row of flowers in varying heights. I added a "happy" die cut from Winnie and Walter's The Big The Bold And The Happy dies, and stamped and heat embossed "birthday" from Winnie And Walter's The Big The Bold And The Happy stamps on a small banner die from Concord and 9th's Happy Card Frame Dies.

Birthday Wishes

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS. Our Code Word for ATCAS Challenge #178 is CAKE. How fun!! Susan is our hostess!

For my card, I stamped the adorable cake image from Paper Smooches Birthday Bash set on Tim Holtz watercolor paper and colored it with Zigs. I then mixed some Perfect Pearls with a little water and "iced" the cake to give it some sparkle and shine. The sentiment is from SSS CZ Designs Simple Sentiments 2.
