I went with our sponsor's Peter Pan Stamp Set.  My idea was to fashion a hiding place for the lost boys using  a domed die cut and a woodgrain stamp.

Color Hues Happy Birthday

I love these colors and am so happy I had a little time to play in my craft room today. I smooshed 3 orange Distress Oxide inks on to a piece of watercolor paper, then sprayed it with Color Shine. When dry, I die cut it with Concord & 9th's Potpourri Die. I cut it a second time from SU Basic Gray and glued the two together slightly askew. I glued the die cuts to  Basic Gray card base and added a foiled, die cut sentiment from my snippet box. To finish I glued some bling from Gina K and my card was complete.

It's that time...

I bought this Love Potion Shaker Die set last year at this time and never used it. That happens a lot. I was determined to give it some love this time around. I love the way it came out.

SSS Monday Challenge - Frame It

Birthday Balloons

It's time for a new challenge at Festive Friday where every challenge is an inspiration list based on a selected holiday/festivity from the traditional to the unusual. Challenge projects must include at least three items from the festivity inspiration list.

Today's festivities are in celebration of Balloons Around the World Day, which takes place October 6th. 

The challenge runs from September 17th - September 27th.

I like to create a card for our challenge that goes with the celebration theme. To create my card, I pulled out my Heart Balloons die from Poppy Stamps. I had a wonderful scrap in reds from an Alcohol Ink panel that I made a while ago, so I used that for my balloons. My purple cloudy sky was made with the Cloud Edger stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. The scalloped panel is from Lawn Fawn. I used balloons, red, purple and clouds from the inspo list. 

Come play with us! Remember that your project does not have to go with the challenge theme. You can just use 3 or more items from the inspo list for your creation!

t's time for the first challenge of 2021 at Less Is More. Challenge #434 is to make a Clean & Simple creation with the theme of clothing/fashion. Maybe some day we'll be able to get dressed up

For my card, I used a Hero Arts wood mounted stamp that I have had in my stash for many years. I heat embossed the image in gold, and colored it with Copics. I cut it out with a circle die and then a Spellbinders hemstitch die. I popped it up in the center of the card, and stamped and clear embossed the sentiment from Concord & 9th's Dahlia Turnabout stamp set.

I added a "happy" die cut from Winnie and Walter's The Big The Bold And The Happy dies, and stamped and heat embossed "birthday" from Winnie And Walter's The Big The Bold And The Happy stamps on a small banner die from Concord and 9th's Happy Card Frame Dies.

I stamped images from sponsor's Party Girl set on Bristol paper. Her dress and shoes are colored with Zigs. I fussy cut the image and glued it on to a vellum pink sunburst piece of card stock that was die cut with Lawn Fawn's Scalopped rectangles. The sentiment is from Concord & 9th's Being Classy stamp set.

For my card, I stamped and heat embossed all of the snowflakes from Happy Little Stampers Let It Snow on kraft paper. I die cut the word "merry" using a die from Concord and 9th and added SU ribbon from my stash.

Creative With Stamps Challenge #29 is up and running with the theme of "FATHER". I thought it was an interesting theme choice for August, but CWS Challenge Co-Creator Lilian was born in Taiwan where Father's Day is celebrated on August 8th, and chose the prompt for this challenge.

Challenge Sponsor is MHK Designs. 

Challenge winner will receive their choice of 3 products of their choice.

As I looked through my stash to find things that would work, I decided on my sentiment first from Altenew's Precious Moments. I then turned toward a nautical theme choosing a red, white and blue color scheme. I used a strip of patterned paper on the left, and stamped sailboats on the right. I stamped the two pieces of the sentiment on the Every Day Circles die cut from Concord & 9th, and there you go! 

Inside, I stamped a Happy Birthday sentiment. My father is no longer with us, but this would be perfect for one of my sons to use for their dad's birthday.

Happy Birthday Time Out!!

It's Birthday Time at Time Out Challenges! A celebration is indeed in order! Time Out was started four years ago by Sandie Munro of London Days, and Nonni Niskanen of Nonni's Handmade Cards. The challenge has grown steadily and beautifully over the years, and is thriving today under Sandie's leadership with Nonni still designing with the team. We are graced with such wonderful talent on our Design Team, with our entrants and our Guest Designer participants. This is truly a wonderful community that continues to expand and evolve. I have been part of the Time Out Design Team since October 2016, and I am so blessed and privileged to be part of this incredibly talented group of crafters who are as wonderful people as they are artists. It has been a lovely ride so far, and the journey continues.
