Your Friendship

Time Out Challenge #132 is up and running. This time it's a Home Sweet Home Challenge with the picture on the badge above as the inspiration. Our challenge is sponsored by Altenew. A random winner will be chosen to receive a $20.00 gift voucher to the Altenew Store. Awesome!

Our wonderful Guest Designer is Bobby of Bits and Pieces Designs. Bobby's work is absolutely wonderful.  Please treat yourself to a stroll through her blog. You will surely be delighted!

When I looked at the photo, I zeroed in on the two butterfly prints and decided to mimic one of them using Pen Pattern Butterflies Cling Stamp Set by Stampendous. I chose a  sentiment with a friendship theme (Altenew Best Buds set), and I began to think about this butterfly symbolizing me, and the missing one symbolizing the recipient of this card. That is a little out there, but it is what I was thinking. Then I thought that maybe it just looks like a butterfly gone wrong, but I did put a lot of thought into the significance of this creation. LOL.

Please head over to the Time Out Challenges Blog to see what Bobby and the Design Team have created for your inspiration. Play with us to share your creation, and to have a chance to win a prize from Altenew. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Well I like your thinking and love you went through this process. Wow you did the perfect take on one of them-it looks like it really is the picture. Superb placement and adore the colouring and I see a lovely texture on the frame. Super card x

I can definitely see and feel your thought process here, Stephanie ... makes perfect sense! You captured the butterfly brillaintly ... the colouring is gorgeous and it's beautifully framed! Hugs, Anita :)

Your thought process didn't go wrong at all! I love the offset butterfly! Beautiful card.

Love how your half butterfly mimics the one in the inspiration photo. That, combined with the sentiment made me think that your friend was the other half...just out of the picture at the moment, but always there.

So beautifully coloured! And looks so good with the butterfly double framed just like on the photo! Enjoy your weekend!

I love your take on the photo - and I don't think that your interpretation is "a little out there" at all - I love the idea! Hugs, Jill

I didn't give the half butterfly a thought. However, I do love the symbolism of it now that you mentioned it. How wonderful it would be to send it to a friend letting them know your thought process in making it! It's so lovely!
