Dance

Less Is More #462 starts today. We are challenged to create a CAS card inspired by an occupation.

I used Funky Fossil Sunray stencil for my background with 4 bright Distress Oxide inks. I then stamped one of the dancer images from Visible Image's Hip Hop Girls in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I did the same with the sentiment. I die cut my scene with the large Wonky Stitches Avery Elle-ments die, popped it up on my card base, and my card was complete.

Please head over to the Less Is More Blog and see what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I hope you'll play along with us to share your creations. Remember to keep your design Clean And Simple which we define as designs that include large areas of CLEAR AND CLEAN space with NO PATTERN, NO INK and NO TEXTURE See challenge guidelines on the Less Is More Blog.

Do It With Passion

It's time for a new challenge at Less Is More. This time the theme is TYPOGRAPHY, defined as the style and appearance of printed matter. Just remember that there must be lots of clean white space on your card.

Our sponsor is Visible image.

For my card I used distress Inks with the Half Sun Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs to create my background. I then stamped the Do it With Passion stamp from Visible Image over it. To me, the fiery sun in the background creates an atmosphere of passion. I matted it on a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock and then glued it to my card base.

Please head over to the Less Is More Blog and see what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I hope you'll play along with us to share your creations for a chance to win. Remember to keep your design Clean And Simple.

To be eligible for showCASe and PRIZE WINNER choices you will need to carefully follow the guidance on our GLOSSARY OF TERMS and our HOW TO PLAY pages. Your design should feature lots of clean / white / blank / non patterned / non textured space. All challenge details are on the Less Is More blog. Good Luck!

Each Day Is A Gift

Time Out Challenges #101 : Inspired By Wordsis up and running. Here is the inspiration:

My card is really a departure from my style of late, but I think this awesome background that was born of my playing with a new-to-me technique with salt and watercolor was perfect for the challenge. To me, it exudes "carpe diem!!". I LOVE the sentiment stamp from Visible Image and to me, it goes beautifully with the quote.

The challenge runs from Thursday January 18 to Wednesday January 31. Our Guest Designer is the wonderful, talented and quite humorous Michele Ferguson of I Card Everyone. Give yourself a treat and visit her blog. You are sure to be delighted.

Our sponsor is Birch Press Designs. Winner will receive a $20.00 gift voucher for the Birch Press Design Store.

Go Where Your Dreams Take You

I love the images and sentiments from Visible Image, and when I saw the current AAA Cards Challenge: Words Take Center Stage,

my card immediately came together in my mind. It's the fastest card I have ever made, and I love it. I still need a few graduation cards, and this is perfect for anyone celebrating the start of a new chapter in their life.

Stand Out!

As soon as I saw this week's CASology cue, I knew what I was going to do! I dug into my stash and pulled out this fantastic image and sentiment called Teenage Kicks from a UK company called Visible Image. I stamped it, masked it, sprayed it, and added the sentiment. Voila! I love the edginess of it, and the strong statement that it makes.
