As for me, the Game #45 theme is near and dear to my heart, and when I thought about it, the adorable little penguins in MFT's PENGUINS IN PARADISE set immediately came to mind. This little one holding a colorful cocktail beneath a palm tree is the coolest!!!

Get your coolness on, and create something fun for AAA Cards Challenge #45, head on over to the AAA Cards blog, link up and play with us.

I am also linking this creation to the following challenges:

Peaceful Soul

Marion Vagg is this week's Muse for Muse Challenge #105.

The inspiration from Marion's card combined with this weeks CASology cue inspired me to create this card:

I so love this image from Memory Box, and Marion's wonderful card put me in mind of it right away.   I used just one colored ink along with black as a neutral.  The image is embossed with black EP.  The hills were masked and sponged with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. The sentiment is from PTI's Peaceful Garden stamped with VersaFine Black Onyx ink.  Probably the fastest card I ever made, and one of my favorites.

Snowing again here in the northeastern part of the US... I guess I was also inspired by the weather. Keep warm and craft on.  Thanks for stopping by.

Happy To Call You My Friend

This is my take on Muse Challenge 79. I used some new goodies from PTI that my dear sister gave me as a birthday gift.  This week's Muse is Vicki Dutcher, and her gorgeous inspiration piece is below.

 Thanks for stopping in today.

Muse #74 - Thinking of You

It has been ages since I made something that I posted on my blog.  I had lots of tags and quick cards for the end of school/graduation flurry of activity, but they went out of the door the minute I finished them. It's good to be back in my creative space. This is my take on this week's Muse Challenge for which Jen Wills of JENerally Speaking is the Muse! I love Jen's style. Her card inspired me to do a beach-themed creation as well. The angle at which I took the photo makes it seem like the pieces of the chairs don't match up, but when you look at the card head on, they do. Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Love You Forever

I am screaming in with less than an hour to go for submission of this card for a new challenge - Muse. The concept is a little different. Here are the details from the Muse blog:

This challenge is open to anyone. The only thing you need to do to become a member is make a card and submit it to one of our challenges. It would be great if you also placed the Muse member badge in the sidebar of your blog but this is not mandatory. It's also not mandatory to become a Guest Designer if you were to be invited in the future.

Here are the simple rules:

  • Use what you have in your stash, don't purchase anything new for your Muse cards.
  • Explain your interpretation of the Muse inspiration card in your post and link back to Muse.
  • Provide supportive comments to at least 3 of your fellow member’s submissions.
  • Vote for one of your fellow member's submissions that you find inspiring.
The focus of my interpretation was white embossing on white cardstock like the flowers and stems in the inspiration piece, and sponging with ink to add color.  I chose a hearts theme because it is the season, and I need a valentine for DH.  I also covered the card base with DP as above, and attasched my hearts and flourishes on a white panel. I love that look.

Thank you for stopping by today. I am looking forward to seeing the interpretations of this challenge over at Muse.
