It's time for a new challenge at Time Out. Time Out #295 is a photo inspiration challenge that opens today and runs through August 13.
You can see the details better with this enlargement of the photo.
Photo credit: Jenny Martin, Queenscliff Harbour, Victoria, Australia - July 2024
The photo was taken by Time Out Design Team Member, Jenny Martin. I would love to be there, sipping on that lovely coffee drink and nibbling on that pastry! Wouldn't you?
We are generously sponsored by lawn fawn with a $25.00 Store Credit for our Challenge winner as chosen by the Design Team.
Our awesome Guest Designer is Kathy Schweinfurth of Stamps at Play. Check out her fabulous project on the Time Out Challenge Blog. Her take on the photo is absolutely fantastic! Kathy's blog is also chock full of wonderful inspiration. You can check it out HERE. Get ready to be inspired!
When I saw Jenny's photo, the Greetery's Cozy Cup Stamps and Dies immediately came to mind and I knew I would build my card around them. I kept it very simple. I used Altenew's From Land to Sea Embossing Folder to mimic the water and sky in the photo, though I left it white for simplicity. The sentiments in the stamp set are all rounded, but I straightened the one I used by sticking it to my MISTI so I could create the sentiment strip. I am very happy with the way it turned out.
Please head on over to the Time Out Challenge Blog where you can see what Kathy and the Design Team have cleverly created for your inspiration. Come play with us! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Guess what... I'm sitting opposite of you and have already guzzled down my drink and pastry so I could take that photo of you! ha!

I am a big fan of this stamp and die set. Your card gives the calm, relaxed feel of the photo and I wish we were sitting there looking at that scene together, talking about cards. LOL! That background texture is great too!
I've never seen this EF, it's cool! Your card is marvelous. You've captured that feel of that photo perfectly!
Stephanie, this is one of my favorite all time Greetery sets. I bought it several years ago and still love it. You showcased it beautifully. I also love how you incorporated the colors from the photo into your focal image and that background reminds me of the wake from a ship and takes me back to cruising! That sentiment - is everything!

You're making me re-think the need for this Greetery set Stephanie! I'm not a coffee drinker, so that's why I passed on it when it first came out, but it could be hot cocoa, right?! That photo is so awesome looking and you've captured it in card form just beautifully my friend...LOVE it!! Hugs. :0)
Great texture - pretty colors! Sweet card! Glad you joined us at FMS!
I love all the details in your tablescape, Stephanie.
