Happy Birthday To You

There 's a new challenge up on the Just Us Girls Challenge Blog where it is Moodboard Week and Ina is our host. It is Spring where she lives, so she has chosen flowers to inspire us.

Here is an enlargement of the photo to give a closer look at the detail of the photo.

Nancy Salkeld of SoulStampin' continues with us as Guest Designer for the month of September. Be sure to check out Nance's blog for some wonderful inspiration.

For my card I used some things that were gifted to me by a dear friend - the Washi flowers and the patterned paper. I combined the Washi flowers and some die cuts to create a bunch of flowers mimicking the photo and added a birthday sentiment.

Please head over to the Just Us Girls Challenge Blog and see the awesome cards that Nance and the Design Team have created for your inspiration. Grab a cuppa, think spring, get crafty and join us in the gallery! I can't wait to see what you create!

Stephanie... love that you are usually the last one! I can relish your card. This is an interesting way to use the washi florals (I am always looking for new ways)... the heavily brown tinted background was an interesting choice though I love using the small florals in the background. I love florals but am so ready to dive into working on the holidays!

Those washi flowers are soooooo pretty and the added sprigs behind them make it seem like a real garden! I like your neutral background papers too. They give those flowers the front stage! What a nice birthday surprise for someone special!!!

Don't you just want to dive head-first into that photo?? What a great time to use those washi-flowers! I love the addition of all those kraft-y sprigs of cuteness!
