It's time for a new challenge at Festive Friday where every challenge is an inspiration list based on a selected holiday/festivity from the traditional to the unusual. Challenge projects must include at least three items from the festivity inspiration list.
Since the Inspiration List is a mix of elements related to the festivity, the creator has the choice to make something for that festivity, or to ignore the festivity all together and create something using just the three (or more) elements selected.
Today's festivities are in celebration of National Flag Week, which is celebrated June 13th - 19th this year. The challenge runs from May 28th - June 7th.
I like to create a card for our challenge that goes with the celebration theme. For my National Flag Week-themed card (well, it is more of a flag-themed card), I used the Papertrey Ink's Vintage Picnic stamp set. It has a variety of baskets and seasonal images to fill them. I stamped the images and colored them with Copics. The basket and napkin are die cut. I added a flurry of metallic dots to add some interest above the basket. I added a little dimension with a star embossing folder on the left side, added some twine, and my card was complete
I used stripes, stars, banner/flag and embossing from the Inspo List.

This is adorable. It immediately caught my eye, as I thought I recognized Vintage Picnic. How fun...it is like seeing an old friend I had forgotten about. Love how you have added star texture as well.
well I WANT to picnic with you, Boo Boo!!! So cute, Stephanie! LOve the sparkler-like sparkles, the wee little flag, and I adore that embossing folder - I once made about 50 cards using it for Operation Smiles - do you remember that? a Sandy Allnock thing from years ago.

Absolutely adorable, Stephanie! I LOVE the patriotic picnic basket...and the border of embossed stars! A 4th of July picnic sounds perfect!
