Our Lives Are Like Quilts

Time Out Challenge #103 is up and running with a theme of Hobbies. There is an optional twist of making it a one layer card. The challenge runs from Thursday, February 15, 2018 to Wednesday March 1, 2018.

The challenge sponsor is CAS-ual Fridays. A $20 gift voucher will be awarded to a winner chosen at random from those entrants who twist.
Guest Designer for challenge and reminder is Ashwini whose work is absolutely wonderful. You will be so glad that you visited her blog,

When I thought about the theme, my beautiful mother, who was my craft buddy, came to mind. We used to do a lot of quilting together. She is 95 years old now and suffers from dementia. This card is for her.

Please head over to the Time Out Challenge blog and see the awesome cards that the Design Team has created for you. See where the theme takes you and play with us for a chance to win.

Very unique and special card for your mum. I love the blend of colors in the "quilt" and the watercolor look is amazing. Such a beautiful sentiment and going one layer was the perfect choice!

I used to love shopping with my mom. We did a lot of it together. She has dimentia as well. Love your card and the meaning behind it.

I did not know that you were a quilter. I am not, but have friends who do. 'Sewing' for me typically involves a hot glue gun! This is a wonderful card, and your sentiment is beautiful. I hope your mom loves it.

Such gorgeous variegated colour in that fabulous embossed quilt, Stephanie ... and a beautiful sentiment ... such a special way to bring to mind lovely memories of crafting with your Mum. My heart goes out to you, dementia is such a horrible and cruel disease. Hugs, Anita :)
