I 💖 New York

The first Time Out Challenge of 2024 started last Thursday, January 4th. Normally our schedule is alternating new challenge and announcement of winners from the prior challenge on Thursdays, but the winners of the final challenge of 2023 were already announced. In Time Out #254 HERE, we are challenged to be NEW. You can take this in many directions like new year, new baby, new craft supplies, etc. This is a reminder that there's still about a week to go and we'd love you to come play with us.

I went with NEW York as I remembered I have a New York themed stamp set. I thought that would be a fun and clever direction in which to go.  I found a picture of a map of Manhattan HERE. I printed it out in color, added a cityscape image behind it, stamped Lady Liberty on it, added a sentiment, and my card was complete.

Please head over to the Time Out Challenge Blog for some inspiration, and join us in the gallery. We'd love to see what you create! Challenge winner will receive a $25.00 girt card from Gina K. Designs. Come play for a chance to win! Please remember that in order to qualify for the win, you can only link your card to a total of 5 challenge including ours.

Dreams Achieved

I am so excited about this card.  I needed a very special graduation card for a very special young woman who graduates from High School in suburban Chicago on Friday and is heading to Fordham University in New York city in the Fall.  She has had a rough few years that include the loss of her beloved dad.  I will have the honor of attending her graduation with her mom on Friday.

I just got this fabulous New York stamp set from Artemio with the help of my dear friend Jenny.  It's a Belgian company for which I could not find a US resource.  It arrived just in time - I leave tomorrow for Chicago.  When I saw the I Spy Sketch Challenge for this week, my design immediately fell in to place.  Inside are two metro cards that Ellen can use to ride the subways in NYC.  I just love the way this all fell together, and I wish Ellen the most wonderful adventure in New York and every success in her endeavors.  She is one special person!!

Thank you so much for stopping in.
