I See Your True Colors

It's time for a new challenge at Festive Friday where every challenge is an inspiration list based on a selected holiday/festivity from the traditional to the unusual. Challenge projects must include at least three items from the festivity inspiration list.

Since the Inspiration List is a mix of elements related to the festivity, the creator has the choice to make something for that festivity, or to ignore the festivity all together and create something using just the three (or more) elements selected.

Today's festivities are in celebration of World Autism Day, which is celebrated on April 2nd. The challenge runs from March 19 - March 29.

I like to create a card for our challenge that goes with the celebration. For my Autism Awareness- Themed card, I CASEd a design from a Tee Shirt that I found when I Googled. You can see it HERE. I used Essentials By Ellen Hands dies to create all the colored hands. The tiny hearts are from PTI Love Lives Here dies. I did the sentiment on my computer.  The word "colors" is die cut from Essentials By Ellen Tall N Skinny Alpha Dies. Can you hear Cyndi Lauper singing??? I used jigsaws, bright colors, and blue from the Inspo List.

For more inspiration, be sure to visit the rest of the  Festive Friday Challenge Design team.

Yes I can hear Cyndi singing, Stephanie! True Colors is my favorite song of hers. Your card is fabulous! I LOVE these hand dies...such a powerful image that truly embodies the spirit of the festivity. Have a wonderful weekend!

A very touching card, not just because of the hands! It's perfect for the festivity this challenge. And yes, I will probably be hearing that song in my head all day!

I am holding you responsible for the ear worm you planted as the song loops in my head. Love the card and those hands! Well done Stephanie!

What a unique and fabulous card Stephanie! I love the design - that strong horizontal line to ground your hands, the colours graduating from yellow through red to blue, the one hand with the jigsaw design, the way you added your sentiment so the word colours would mingle with your hands... All so perfect. I didn't immediately connect the sentiment with Cyndi Lauper's song but yep, will be singing it all day now! Vicky x
