Wish Upon A Starfish

It's time for a new challenge at Less Is More. This time the theme is a color challenge: Tangerine, Aqua and White. Just remember that there must be lots of clean white space on your card.

Our wonderful sponsor for the month of August is Funky Fossil Designs. The shops' owner, Sarah Gray, is a wonderful artist and former Desigh Team Member of Less Is More! Check out Sarah's Folksy shop for a wonderful selection of stencils, cards and gifts. Your creative juices are sure to flow. Play with us for a chance to win some fabulous stencils from Sara's store.

For my card, I stenciled the starfish with Carved Pumpkin DO Ink on a piece of 80# Neeneah Solar White cardstock and cut it out with Avery Elle's Wonky Stitches large rectangle die. I heat embossed the mermaid's tail from Jilie Ebersole's Inner Mermaid set on a snippet of cardstock that had been treated with a very light application of Alcohol Inks, and popped that up on the stecniled panel. The sentiment is from Hero Arts Mer-Mazing Messages set.

Please head over to the Less Is More Blog, See what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I hope you'll play along with us to share your creations and have chance to win. Remember to keep your design Clean And Simple.

To be eligible for showCASe and PRIZE WINNER choices you will need to carefully follow the guidance on our GLOSSARY OF TERMS and our HOW TO PLAY pages. Your design should feature lots of clean / white / blank / non patterned / non textured space. All challenge details are on the Less Is More blog. Good Luck!

What a beautiful card! The mermaid fin die-cut on top of the bright tangerine stars makes for a lovely summery card. Thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday.
