Wish You Were Here

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out. This time we have a photo challenge with a subject that is near and dear to my heart. You can take so many things for inspiration from this photo from the lighthouse, to colors, to ocean to rocks... I am a lighthouse, lover, so I chose a lighthouse theme. I have several stamps and dies that would work for this in my stash. I chose this one from Cottage Cuts to create my scene. I love the embossing folder I used in the background on heavy duty vellum. I am so happy with the way it turned out.

We are sponsored by Lawn Fawn with a generous $25.00 store credit for our winner. Our winner also gets an invitation to Guest Design with us for a future challenge.

Joyce Mehrberg, former Time Out Design Team Member and winner of Time Out Challenge #262, has joined us as Guest Designer for this challenge. Check out the details on the Time Out Challenge Blog where you can also see what the rest of the Design Team has created for your inspiration. Come play with us!

Celebrate YOU

Carol Mayne is our host for this week's Just Us Girls Challenge where it is Word Week. Carol has chosen a fun word which can be interpreted in a myriad of ways - Celebrate. Think birthdays, graduations, babies, holidays... and the list goes on. We are joined once again by CAS Queen, Jane Taylor, as our super talented Guest Designer for June.

I decided to use the word itself and embellish it with color an shine. I love the Honey Bee card that I used for the word, and I pulled out my Lunar Paste To showcase the stars with silvery shine. Very simple, but it can be used for many occasions.

Please head over to the Just Us Girls Challenge Blog and check out the wonderful creations by Jane and the Design Team. Get crafty with your stash and join us in the gallery! I can't wait to see how our players are inspired by the colors.

Please note: we have created a longer timeframe for our challenges! Wednesdays at 6:00 pm EST will be our new ending time in order to give you another day to get your cards in the gallery! The Winner of the Week will be announced now on Thursdays, an hour before the new challenges open.

Meadow Bush Happy Birthday

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out. This time, we have an Inspired By Words Challenge where the words are :"There are always flowers for those who want to see them."

We are sponsored by Altenew. They are offering a $15.00 store credit to our challenge winner who will also be invited to join the Time Out Design Team as Guest Designer for a future challenge. We are so pleased to have Arlene Rose of Sunday Stamper Papercrafts as our Guest Designer. Arlene is a wonderful card maker and a frequent player at Time Out. Check out her wonderful make for the challenge HERE.

Altenew is so well known for its florals. Our Design Team really went to town and made some fabulous things with Altenew products. I chose their Meadow Bush stencils & dies in shades of purple.
Please head over to the Time Out Challenge Blog to see what Arlene and the Design Team have created to inspire you. I can't wait to see your project in the gallery.

Remember, we allow links to a total of 5 challenges including ours. We also need you to tell us in your post, how you were inspired by the quote. Check out the rules in "how to play" on the sidebar of the challenge blog.

Seagull With A Fry

Carol McFarland is our host for this weeks Just Us Girls Challenge where it is Color Week. Carol has chosen a wonderful summery color combination of pink and aqua. This is a great palette to work with!   As this is our firts challenge of a new month, we welcome CAS Queen, Jane Taylor, as our super talented Guest Designer for June.

I just received my Waffle Flower haul that was loaded with summer fun including lots of seagulls. These birds can be a menace, especially if people nearby are feeding them (they love to drop presents from the sky). That said, I love to watch them as they are really very funny creatures. They are brazen enough to swipe a sandwich right out of your hand, or stick their beaks into a temporarily abandoned beach bag in search of some snacks... so I went with Waffle Flower Beach Tote stamp & die combo,  Inquisitive Seagulls dies and lots of lots of shades of the challenge colors to create my card.

Please head over to the Just Us Girls Challenge Blog and check out the wonderful creations by Jane and the Design Team. Get crafty with your stash and join us in the gallery! I can't wait to see how our players are inspired by the colors.
