So Glad You Were Born

It's Color Week at Just Us Girls. We are hosted by Ina and as we begin a new month of challenges, we welcome Colleen Begley as our Guest Designer for the month of April. Colleen is such a wonderful and talented crafter. Do treat yourself to a stroll through her blog where you are sure to be inspired.

For my card, I found a panel that I had foiled quite some time ago with the Pinkfresh Geo Blocks hot foil plate. Our challenge colors prompted me to open the never before used coordinating stencils and create a card with the foiled panel. I applied a light and darker shade of each of the colors with Distress Oxide Inks working through each layer of the stencil set. I so love how it turned out. I foiled and die cut "happy birthday" also from Pinkfresh, and added a stamped and heat embossed sentiment strip from SSS to go with it. The foiled panel and sentiments are popped up with foam.

Please head over to the Just Us Girls Challenge Blog and check out the wonderful creations by Colleen and the rest of the Design Team. Get crafty with your stencils and join us in the gallery!

Your card really stood out in the NBUS gallery so just popped over to say hello. I have this set but barely use it but you have inspired me to give it another go. The colours are stunningand the bold sentiment works so well with that dynamic background.
