With Gratitude

It's time for a new challenge at Less Is More. Challenge #431 is to make a Clean & Simple creation with more than one type of foliage.

Our wonderful sponsor and awesome supporter is Uniko.

For my card, I went into the deep, dark recesses of my wood mounted rubber stamp collection, and pulled out Hero Arts Woodland Leaves and Grasses. I used a variety of inks from SU and Papertrey Ink to stamp the images in autumnal colors across the bottom of the card.

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Gratitude Sentiment Strips, die cut with Pink & Main Sentiment Strip Dies.

Please head over to the Less Is More Blog and see what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I hope you'll play along with us to share your creations and for a chance to win. Remember to keep your design Clean And Simple.

To be eligible for showCASe and PRIZE WINNER choices you will need to carefully follow the guidance on our GLOSSARY OF TERMS and our HOW TO PLAY pages. Your design should feature lots of clean / white / blank / non patterned / non textured space. All challenge details are on the Less Is More blog. Good Luck!

Hello Friend

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out. This time we have the photo inspiration above to spark your creativity. Our wonderful sponsor is Altenew. Challenge winner will receive a $20.00 gift voucher to the Altenew store.

Our guest designer for this challenge is Rahmat whose artistry is always brilliant and inspiring. Treat yourself to a visit to her blog. You will be so glad you did!

My card is a rather literal interpretation of the photo. To create it, I used the Barnwood Background Stamp from Concord & 9th to create a woodgrain background for my white embossed medallion from Papertrey Ink's Mehndi Medallion Mini Stamp Set (retired). I die cut that panel with a Spellbinders Deckled Rectangles die set. The cacti and sentiment are from Altenew's Be Strong Stamp Set. They are colored with Copics, and die cut from the Be Strong matching die set.

You Can Do It.

It's time for a new challenge at Festive Friday where every challenge is an inspiration list based on a selected holiday/festivity from the traditional to the unusual. Challenge projects must include at least three items from the festivity inspiration list.

Since the Inspiration List is a mix of elements related to the festivity, the creator has the choice to make something for that festivity, or to ignore the festivity all together and create something using just the three (or more) elements selected.

For my coffee-themed project, I used: hot drink theme, die cut, vellum, brown and twine.  My coffee pot and mug/saucer are from Altenew Coffee Love Stamp set,  I used a variety of Copic markers for coloring, embossed vellum for my background, heat embossed the sentiment from The Ton's Coffee Crush Sentiment Set, and Avery Elle Scalloped Pierced Rectangle dies.

Thanks

Time for a new challenge at Less Is More.

We are generously sponsored by Uniko.

This is Sharon's gorgeous card to CASe.

For my card, I used the largest image from Uniko's Originally Organic Stamps and Dies, colored it with Copics and die cut it. I die cut a second time in solid black, and used it to back the colored image to make it stand out against the white. I popped it up with foam tape and adhered it to the card. The two half circles are cut with My Favorite Things Cutting Die-namics Stitched Basic Edges (retired). The tiny flower trio stamp is from Uniko's Paradise Stamp Set and stamped in various colors of Papertrey Ink Dye Ink. The sentiment is from Uniko's Paradise Hummingbird stamp set.

My second card is a different version of the same design, but on this one I stamped the leaves and sentiment from Uniko's Originally Organic Stamps and Dies and little tiny flower trio from Uniko's Paradise Stamp Set in Papertrey Ink New Leaf Dye ink.

So Sorry

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out. This is our annual Breast Cancer Awareness challenge to create cards of encouragement with an optional twist of pink. Our wonderful sponsor is CAS-ual Fridays Stamps offering a prize of a $25.00 gift voucher to the challenge winner. Anyone who uses the optional twist will be entered into a drawing for this prize!

Our guest designer for this challenge is Dhruvika. Give yourself a treat and visit her blog for some wonderful inspiration. Her challenge card is amazing!

We all have been touched by breast cancer in some way. I am a survivor myself. I have a dear friend who is going through diagnosis and treatment at this time. She lost her mother to breast cancer years ago when she was a young woman.  I wanted to make a card for her to assure her that I will be with her as she steps through this. Her prognosis is good, but it's still so frightening and the fact that she lost her mom weighs heavily on her. I want to be with her every step of the way, so this is for her.

The pink and purple panel was made with sprays and a stencil. I embossed a sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays Hope Ribbon set from the Calling All Sistahs Collection on a black strip, popped it up and mounted the panel on Melon Mambo card stock.

Festive Happy Birthday

It's time for a new challenge at Festive Friday where every challenge is an inspiration list based on a selected holiday/festivity from the traditional to the unusual. Challenge projects must include at least three items from the festivity inspiration list.

Since the Inspiration List is a mix of elements related to the festivity, the creator has the choice to make something for that festivity, or to ignore the festivity all together and create something using just the three (or more) elements selected.

For my Cat-themed project, I used: a cat, sparkle (the cat, banner and balloons are all coated with Wink Of Stella but I could not capture it with my camera), and clean and simple design. I used a variety of Copic markers for coloring, and die cut the small square with Spellbinders Hemstitch Squares. All stamps are from Simon Says Stamp Baby Party Animals.
