Too Glam To Give A Damn

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out. Challenge #237 challenges us to be FASHIONABLE. Think clothing, design, color trends - even food fashion. Let your imagination run free!

We are generously sponsored by AALL & Create.
Challenge Winner will receive a $20.00 store credit and an invitation to Guest Design with the Time Out Design Team for a future challenge.

We welcome Arlene Rose of Sunday Stamper Papercrafts and Winner of Time Out #234 as our Guest Designer for this challenge. Arlene is a very talented crafter with a style that is often CAS. She has awesome coloring skills. Please visit her blog for some great inspiration. She would welcome your comments on her creations!

I stepped waaaaaay out of my comfort zone on this one when I decided to go with a mixed media creation to showcase AALL & Create's Fashionable Miss Dee. She just cracks me up and was the perfect image for our challenge. I used powdered inks, stencils, Lunar Paste and white ink to create my gel print background. I die cut and foam mounted the background on 110lb cardstock. I stamped, colored and popped up Miss Dee and the sentiment, and my card was complete.

Please head on over to the Time Out Challenge Blog to see the wonderful creations that the Design Team came up with to inspire you. Come play with us!

That background is so great! I find new things to see every time I look at it! And that woman is a strange-fun one... Again something else; you have a great range of techniques and images! I really like coming here and seeing what you have 'cooked'! Hugs, Gerrina

Hi Stephanie, so glad to see your card here! I love it. I remember the Valentine's card you made with the similar set - No Refunds, I'm yours! (because believe it or not I had to buy that set for myself) Your background is amazing, love all the patterns and especially the colors. Thanks for joining us at Krafty Chicks.

Looking at this makes me think mixed media is your "regular" style -I mean the background looks perfect!! Not out of comfort zone at all. Maybe mixed media is your new super power!!! Miss Dee with the sentiment makes me giggle. Such a fun card!! xx

What a riot, Stephanie! Out of your comfort zone worked for you since your background is fabulous with all the mixed media, and Miss Dee is right at home in front of it.
