Color Hues Happy Birthday

I love these colors and am so happy I had a little time to play in my craft room today. I smooshed 3 orange Distress Oxide inks on to a piece of watercolor paper, then sprayed it with Color Shine. When dry, I die cut it with Concord & 9th's Potpourri Die. I cut it a second time from SU Basic Gray and glued the two together slightly askew. I glued the die cuts to  Basic Gray card base and added a foiled, die cut sentiment from my snippet box. To finish I glued some bling from Gina K and my card was complete.

So Glad You Were Born

I am super excited to be here today and also for the next three challenges as the Surprise Party Guest at Seize the Birthday! I am so pleased and honored to have been invited!!! Today's Challenge #253 is Anything Goes Birthday as usual with the optional topping of "Winged Things". You can choose to incorporate the topping or not, your card just has to have a birthday theme. I chose to use the topping for my card.

I so love the Hero Arts Dragonfly Fancy Die. I love the size of it and the detail in it, so I made it the  winged star of my creation. I created a panel of strips in shades of purple, including a couple cut from purple glitter card stock. I added a white heat embossed sentiment strip and my card was complete.

Please head on over to the Seize The Birthday Challenge Blog and see what the Design Team and Surprise Party Guest Elizabeth Stewart of Paper Sweetness (Overall winner to Challenge #252) have created for your inspiration. Come play with us and build up the birthday card stash!

Happy Thanksgiving

A new challenge starts today at Can You Handle The Pressure? where the theme is always Anything Goes with an Embossing Folder and an optional twist. Heat embossing is welcome, but not required. An Embossing Folder must be used. For this challenge, the twist is "Thanks".

For my background, I used Spellbinders Carved Tile Embossing Folder with SU More Mustard card stock. The corn, sentiment and sentiment banner are from Papertrey Ink's Kind Of Corny stamp set and dies. (Thank you, dear friend, for sending the die cuts.)  If anyone has this die set and want to sell it, please let me know!

Please head over to the Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge? blog to check out the Design Team inspiration projects. You are sure to be impressed (pun intended)! Then dive into your embossing folder collection and join us with or without the twist! Just be sure to use an embossing folder on your creation!

Surround Yourself With Friends

Less Is More #466 starts today. We are challenged to create a CAS card with a a masculine theme.

To create my card, I inked a portion of the main image from Birch Press Design's No One Like You stamp set with VersaMark ink and I embossed it with WOW Primary Lagoon embossing powder. I stamped one of the sentiments from the set with VersaFine Onyx Black ink, embossed it with WOW clear embossing powder. die cut it with a Lil' Inker stitched circle die, and popped it up among the fishies. Just to give it a little more interest, I die cut the stamped panel with Spellbinders Hemstitch Rectangle Dies and popped it up on the card base.

Please head over to the Less Is More Blog and see what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I hope you'll play along with us to share your creations. Remember to keep your design Clean And Simple which we define as designs that include large areas of CLEAR AND CLEAN space with NO PATTERN, NO INK and NO TEXTURE See challenge guidelines on the Less Is More Blog.

Happy Easter

I created this card for the current challenge over at Can You Handle The Pressure  - a challenge that is all about embossing folders! Each challenge has an optional twist, an embossing folder is required. Isn't that fantastic? What a great way to tackle your stash! This challenge is Anything Goes With An Optional Twist Of Easter.

I embossed a panel of Neenah Solar White 110# card stock with Altenew's Tulip 3D EF. What a gorgeous impression it makes. I added some DO ink very lightly in pastel colors and added a Happy Easter die cut using purple mirror card stock mounted on foam. Voila!

Love Enclosed

It's time for a new challenge at Festive Friday where every challenge is an inspiration list based on a selected holiday/festivity from the traditional to the unusual. Challenge projects must include at least three items from the festivity inspiration list. Your project does not have to go with the challenge theme. You can just use 3 or more items from the inspo list for your creation.

Today's festivities are inspired by St. Valentine's Day, which takes place on Monday, February 14th. The challenge runs from February 4th to February 14th.

I like to create a card for our challenge that goes with the theme. This one was easy peasy. I just got the Heart Grid Hot Foil Plate from Pinkfresh Studio and I had to break it out (or heat it up as the case may be). I foiled it in red for my background, then die cut that piece with Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangles and adhered it on a black base. The heart die cuts are from Spellbinders January 2022 Small Die of the Month Club Kit and the sentiment is from Spellbinders January 2022 Glimmer Hot Foil Club of the Month Kit. I glued the hearts together and popped them up with foam before adhering to the foiled heart panel. I foiled the sentiment in gold and popped it up on the die cut hearts. I used red, romantic sentiment and hearts from the inspo list.

Come play with us! Remember that your project does not have to go with the challenge theme. You can just use 3 or more items from the inspo list for your creation!

By The Sea

Less Is More Challenge #442 begins today. We are challenged to make a Clean and Simple card incorporating sea creatures into our design.
I used a digital image from Sea Shells Card Panel and Shells Images Bundle by Alex Syberia. If you have never had the pleasure of perusing Alex's shop, please do yourself a favor and go there. Alex is an incredible artist. I love working with her creations. The original image that I chose to use is a frame. I edited it so that I just had the bottom border that you see on my card. I colored it with Copics and add some sparkle with Wink Of Stella. To complete my card, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from Picket Fence Studio's Mermaids of the Sea with clear EP, popped up the colored panel with a piece of fun foam, and adhered it to the card base.

Please head over to the Less Is More Blog and see what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I hope you'll play along with us to share your creations. Remember to keep your design Clean And Simple. See challenge guidelines on the Less Is More Blog.

There Are No Words

Less Is More Challenge #439 begins today. We are challenged to use CAS Inking on our projects  i.e., inking a masked area on your card, using inked die cuts, inking the edges of your card, etc. etc.

I used a masking stencil and inked the rectangular aperture with DO inks. I then stamped one of the images from the wonderful SSS Wildflowers silhouette stamp set on top of the inking and clear heat embossed. I added a sentiment from SSS Tiny Tiny Words Support stamp set and my card was complete.

Please head over to the Less Is More Blog and see what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I hope you'll play along with us to share your creations. Remember to keep your design Clean And Simple.

For My Love

Time Out Challenge #181 begins today.  We are challenged to create a card inspired by the photo below.

Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is:

Our Guest Designer this week is  Nancy of Nancy's Creative Mess. Nancy is a very talented crafter who often creates in a CAS style. Treat yourself to a visit to her wonderful blog, and show her some love.

To create my card, I used CAS-ual Fridays Heart Board Dies to cut several nesting hearts in shades of red and pink. I had these little rolled flowers in my snippet box for ages that look like the candied flowers on the cookies in the photo. I added them along with some stamped and die cut leaves from Altenew's Wings of Hope stamp and die sets. I popped the hears up with fun foam, and adhered them to the white panel debossed with Altenew's Doted Swirls Debossing Cover Die. The red card base is from Gina K. The sentiment is from CAS-ual Fridays Love Notes stamp set (retired).

Please hop on over to the Time Out Challenge Blog to see the wonderful creations that Nancy and the Design Team came up with to inspire you. Come play with us!
