Happy St. Patrick's Day

Less Is More #460 starts today. We are challenged to create a CAS card with a bit of bling.

I need some St. Patrick's day cards so I went there. I stamped, colored and die cut this adorable Leprechaun from Pretty Pink Posh's Best of Luck stamp set, popped him up with dimensionals, and added a sentiment from the same set. His jacket button and the center of the four leaf clover are tiny gold rhinestones for my bling. Hard to see. Here is a closeup...

Please head over to the Less Is More Blog and see what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I hope you'll play along with us to share your creations. Remember to keep your design Clean And Simple which we define as designs that include large areas of CLEAR AND CLEAN space with NO PATTERN, NO INK and NO TEXTURE See challenge guidelines on the Less Is More Blog.

An Irish Blessing

Time for a new challenge at Addicted To CAS: ATCAS #155: Code Word GREEN.

I am hosting this challenge and I can't wait to see all the places this code word will take us!

We have 2 Guest Designers for this challenge:

Beate (Winner of Challenge #152 - Birds)

AND
Claire (Winner of Challenge #153 - Grid)

Both of these crafters are incredibly talented

St. Paddy's Day is tomorrow, so I couldn't resist making a card to celebrate it. I am not Irish, but I do love this celebration of family and stories and music and food. I went with Irish Blessings stamps and dies from Papertrey Ink to create my card. The card base is Stampin' Up Garden Green cardstock.  The scalloped panel is made with Papertrey Ink Fresh Snow Linen cardstock, die cut with Lawn Fawn Scalloped Stackable Rectangles. The shamrock is cut from a snippet of water colored cardstock. The circles are popped up with foam tape, and the sentiment is embossed with gold EP from Hero Arts.

I hope your day is as rich as gold and as colorful as a rainbow.

Please head on over to the ATCAS Challenge Blog and take a look at the wonderful inspiration pieces the Design Team and our Guest Designers have created for your inspiration. Get your GREEN on and make something to share in the gallery. Happy crafting!

Please remember that this is a CAS challenge. Here is a definition to remind you:

Lucky

My card below worked for many challenges this week with St. Paddy's Day coming up - lots o' green, gold, luck, shine...  I chose three challenges for my inspiration for this card.  I started with  Curtain Call which has a theme of "Lucky".  Here is my take:

Pals Paper Arts Challenge #242 is a color challenge with the colors green, gold and black.  I went with that and threw in a touch of rainbow just for fun.  I cut the word "lucky" in 4 different papers and I wasn't totally happy with any of them until I tried a scrap of watercolor paper on which I had painted rainbow colors for my AAA card last week.  That was perfect. I used all of the die cuts I had previously cut to build up the "ky" because the "luc" sat higher on the shaker.  The gold layer gave it a nice gold tinge.

Pretty Pink Posh's first challenge launched this week, and the theme is Sparkle & Shine.  I found these fun shamrock and gold coin confetties recently.  They are very sparkly & shiny, so there you go.  Perfect for this challenge.  Of course, I ended up with a shaker card because that is what I do with confetti these days.  I love it.

I am on a bit of a roll lately.  It's because of all the snow and bitter cold we have had - let me get in my craft space more than usual.  Thank you so much for coming by.  Have a wonderful day.

P Is For Paddy

I found a new challenge recently that I really like - the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers. Lots of tongue in cheek fun. This week's challenge is to pay homage to all things Irish and green! I went straight for Paper Smooches "A Magical Spring" and came up with this. I had a lot of fun with it. Thanks for stopping in for a look.
