Crazy Halloween

It's time for a new AAA Cards Challenge. Game #51 is Halloween 4 Everyone - All styles.

I just love these Stampers Anonymous Crazy Birds that are everywhere. I've had them for a while, and finally inked them up for this challenge.  This is a bit of a departure from my style of late, but I really love the way this one turned out.

I am also linking up and playing with th following challenges:

This week's Mashup Challenge:
  • Create a project for Halloween.
  • Create a project featuring some Ribbon.
  • or Mash it Up! and create a project for Halloween with some Ribbon.

Thanks for stopping in to check out my post. I appreciate your comments so very much!

Happy Easter

The jelly beans in this week's Curtain Call Challenge put me in mind of this gorgeous Easter Eggs BG stamp from Peddler's Pack that I have had for 8 years have never used. The Retro Sketches sketch for this week was perfect to showcase my image.  And it goes without saying that this creation is a perfect fit for Darnell Krauss's NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff) Challenge.  Darnell is a very talented crafter/blogger/comedienne.  Stop by her blog for a truly delightful experience, and play her NBUS Challenge

I embossed my image with gold EP, then sponged it with Distress Inks.  I then colored bits and pieces of the eggs with water color pencils using the brush to pencil tip method.  The stitched banner is from Lil Inkers, and the image (another NBUS item) is from PTI's Egg Hunt set.

Thank you so much for coming by for a visit. I always appreciate your views and your comments. Have a great day.

Thoughts of You

My blogger friend Joyce of Cards-by-the-Sea, who is such an avid crafter and is so supportive with her comments, made THIS fabulous card recently.  As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to CASE it.  So with her creation as inspiration along with this week's Retro Sketches challenge,

and this week's Less Is More challenge
SAND

which for this week is to use the color, the texture, scenes of sandy places, sandpaper, actual sand... or wherever your imagination takes you,
I came up with this card.

I love these starfish and sand dollar images and dies from WPlus9. I have owned them for a while, but I have never inked them up. Joyce's card inspired me to pull them out and enjoy them.  The Retro Sketch was the perfect layout for my idea.  As for the Less Is More challenge, I have not played in such a long time. My crafting time has been slim over the last year in particular.  I am a beach lover, so coming up with something with SAND as my inspiration to play this week (finally) was fun.  The best part is that when my 13 year old son saw my card, he said "I love the way the background looks like a sandy beach". That is just what I was going for, so yay!

Thank you so much for coming by today.  I am off for the summer. That combined with the weather having been so stormy here in the North Eastern part of the US for several days, has resulted in my getting much longed for crafting time.  Be well.

Congrats Kelly

I needed a graduation card for a dear friend's daughter whose school colors are red, black and white. I made this with the inspiration of Retro Sketch #12 for my layout, and Paper Players #96 which was to use Polka Dots.  I did not complete the card before those challenges closed, but I do love the result of the inspiration.  I hope she likes it as it is filled with loving wishes for a beautiful future.  Thank you for stopping by today!
