I'm Yours

Time for a new challenge at Time Out! Challenge #230 starts today and runs through February 1st. It's an Inspired By Words Challenge where the words are: "The single most important thing I've ever done with my life is to fall in love with you." ~ Beth Pearson - This is Us. That was a tv show so near and dear to my heart.

We welcome Julia Aston of Create With Me and winner of Time Out Challenge #227 as our Guest Designer.

I am so excited to share that we have a new sponsor - AALL & CreateFrom our Sponsor's Eshop: "Discover AALL & Create’s range of exclusive products, as featured on Create and Craft TV! Our product range is developed by an international team of artists and are designed to be used in many different kinds of artwork and project, including mixed media, scrapbooking, card-making and more. so get them while you can and spread the word!"

I am in love with AALL & Create's products, and have used two in my card. If you are familiar with my work, you will know that this is pretty far out of my comfort zone. I LOVE the way the stamps and stencil I chose that were so generously gifted by our sponsor, made me think outside the box.  My card is a big twist on our words! The series of "Dee" stamps and sentiments is hilarious. Check the spaghetti strap on Dee's dress! I made this with my Valentine in mind, and I giggled a few times as I was making it.

CAS Outdoor Christmas

Less Is More #478 starts today and ends on December 1st. This is the last Less Is More challenge until March 2023. There is also a DT call going on. Please see the Less Is More Blog for details.

We are challenged to create a Clean & Simple
card with the theme of "outdoors".

I stenciled part of the Memory Box Garden Birch Trees Stencil with PTI Soft Stone ink on matching card stock. I added 2 stamped, die cut images and a sentiment from Hero Arts Color Layering Snowy Tree stamp set, mounted the Soft Stone panel on a SU Cherry Cobbler card base, and my card was complete.

Please head over to the Less Is More Blog and see what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I hope you'll play along with us to share your creations. Remember to keep your design Clean And Simple which we define as designs that include large areas of CLEAR AND CLEAN space with NO PATTERN, NO INK and NO TEXTURE See challenge guidelines on the Less Is More Blog.

You Are In My Thoughts

Time Out #212 begins today, It's a  photo theme challenge : Spring.  The challenge runs from Thursday, April 21st to Wednesday, May 4th. We are generously sponsored by Poppystamps. Once again, we welcome Åsa Johansson of Scrapat helt enkelt and winner of Time Out Challenge #208 as our Guest Designer for this challenge.

To create my card, I stamped SSS Gerbera Daisy Background cling stamp with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink onto Bristol Paper, heat embossed it with WOW clear embossing powder and painted it with Zigs in purple hues as inspired by the photo on the challenge badge. I cut the panel down, backed it with fun foam and adhered it to a black card base. I stamped a sentiment from SSS Well Wishes onto a piece of white card stock, cut it out and adhered it to the floral panel.

Faith Can Move Mountains

Time Out #211 begins today, It's a  photo inspiration - see above.  The challenge runs from Thursday, April 7th to Wednesday, April 20th. We are generously sponsored by Poppystamps.

I used stencils from A Colorful Life Deigns to create my scene - very much inspired by our photo -  Mountain Edger 1 Stencil, Tree Line Edger 3, and Cloud Edger. It is unusual for me to create an entire scene with stencils, but I love it. The sentiment is also from A Colorful Life Designs Altitude clear stamp set. The frame is die cut from The Greetery's Nordic Frames.

With Gratitude

It's time for a new challenge at Less Is More. Challenge #431 is to make a Clean & Simple creation with more than one type of foliage.

Our wonderful sponsor and awesome supporter is Uniko.

For my card, I went into the deep, dark recesses of my wood mounted rubber stamp collection, and pulled out Hero Arts Woodland Leaves and Grasses. I used a variety of inks from SU and Papertrey Ink to stamp the images in autumnal colors across the bottom of the card.

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Gratitude Sentiment Strips, die cut with Pink & Main Sentiment Strip Dies.

Please head over to the Less Is More Blog and see what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I hope you'll play along with us to share your creations and for a chance to win. Remember to keep your design Clean And Simple.

To be eligible for showCASe and PRIZE WINNER choices you will need to carefully follow the guidance on our GLOSSARY OF TERMS and our HOW TO PLAY pages. Your design should feature lots of clean / white / blank / non patterned / non textured space. All challenge details are on the Less Is More blog. Good Luck!

Aloha

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out!!! Time Out Challenge #168 is an inspiration photo, and it is right up my alley! See the enlarged pic below for all of the wonderful details to choose from.

We are generously sponsored by Uniko, a wonderful partner and supporter of Time Out. Our Guest Designer is Enna, winner of Time Out Challenge #164. Enna is an incredibly talented card artist with mad coloring skills. Check her out on Instagram for some major inspiration!

The surfboard really caught my eye in the photo. I pulled out a dear old friend from my stash - Verve's Relax stamp set (2008). I used 2 of the 5 surf board images from the set to create a pattern for my background, colored them with Copics, and added a coat of Glossy Accents to make them shine. I then stamped, colored and fussy cut the wave and palm tree, mounted them on a rectangle along with the sentiment, and my card was complete.

Life After Chaos

I have been on a stencil kick lately. I have so many wonderful stencils that have been sitting patiently waiting some love. Today I created an underwater scene using one of the components of Honey Bee Stamps Ocean Scene Builder stencil set with Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink. On top of that I placed Funky Fossil Designs magnificent Turtle stencil with Gina K's Grass Green Glitz Glitter Gel. I added a sentiment from Picket Fence Studios Swim In The Sea stamp set, and my card was complete.

Thank You

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out!!! With Time Out Challenge #163, we are challenged by the words "Let us be grateful to the people that make us happy. They are the gardeners who make our souls blossom."

We are generously sponsored by STAMPlorations.
Challenge winner will receive a $25 and will be asked to be the Guest Designer for a future challenge.

Our Guest Designer is the wildly talented Trina Pfam of Phamtastic Designs. Trina's work is truly fantastic. Please do yourself a favor and visit her blog for some awesome inspiration!

My card is very much inspired by THIS card created by Michele Ferguson. She makes me buy all kinds of things like that wonderful Pinkfresh Studio Braided Tag die that I used for my card. I smooshed several Distress Oxide inks on to Bristol Paper, then stamped images from STAMPlorations Beautiful You set. I die cut the inked and stamped area with the tag die, and added the sentiment and the ribbon. I mounted the tag on textured card stock, then on to a black card base.
