Congrats On Your New Digs

I made this card for my son who just moved in to his own apartment in Philadelphia last week. I remember how excited I was when I finally had my own living space all to myself. The red building in the window looks very much like the building he is in. Supplies are from the July 2025 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. I followed THIS tutorial by Tina Smith of Cards & Coffee Time. She added some extra detail that I did not, but I really love the way mine turned out.

This card stock from La-La Land Crafts is fabulous. It's double sided with different city scenes on both the front and back of the window. This is what you see when you open the card from right to left.

This is what you have when you open the card completely. There's plenty of room to write your message to the recipient here. I can't wait 'til Greg gets this. He will love it and he will get all the love that went into making it.

Love You More Than All The Stars

Time for a new challenge at Time Out! For Time Out Challenge #146, we challenge you to be ENCOURAGING. We are  sponsored by Newtons's Nook. Winner will receive a $25 gift voucher for the Newton's Nook Store.

Our awesome Guest Designer is Shawna of The Grand Stampede. Shawna's work is gorgeous. You will surely enjoy a stroll through her blog. Say hello and leave her some love!

I made this card for my son with the intention of sending love and encouragement as he navigates his second year of college, but his first year as a transfer student to a whole new environment. He is a stellar student, but the work has been tough, and the social scene a little challenging coming in as a sophmore. Things are looking up, and I am incredibly proud of him. There is a song that my boys and I all love called "Sky Full Of Stars" by Coldplay. This card makes me think of that and I think he will love it.

I used a stencil, die and sentiment from the celestial-themed My Monthly Hero August 2017 Kit to create this card along with Distress Oxide, Delicata and VersaFine inks. I am so pleased with the way it came out.
