Creative With Stamps Challenge #32 is up and running with the theme of FEATHER.

For my card, I used the largest feather image from Papertrey Ink's Feather Finery set. I stamped it in 3 fall shades using my MISTI. After stamping with color, I stamped again with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with clear EP. I heat embossed again with the detail stamp that goes with the feather using gold EP.  It's hard to see that detail in the picture, but it does add depth and interest. I used matte gold cardstock to die cut, stack and inlay the word "hugs" (die from STAMPlorations), added a few sequins, distressed the edges and attached that panel to my card base.

Autumn Blessings

Creative With Stamps Challenge #31 is up and running with the theme of "HALLOWEEN OR LEAVES". Fall is my favorite season. I love everything about it from warm days and cool nights to the colors, smells, foods, etc.

For my card, I decided on a leaf theme using Stampendous Cling Rubber Pen Pattern Leaves stamps and dies. I stamped one of the leaves with VersaMark ink, embossed it with copper EP, colored with DO inks, and sprayed it with sheer shimmer spray. I die cut a second leaf from kraft paper, ran it through my corrugator, sponged some distress ink on the edges and used it as a background piece placed behind the embossed leaf for a shadow effect.

Happy Halloween

Creative With Stamps Challenge #30 is up and running with the theme of "PUMPKIN". Fall is my favorite season, and I love it when the fall colors kick in in art, fashion, food...

I decided on a Halloween theme. To create my card, I chose to use a retired set from PTI - Tiny Treats: Halloween. The set includes the tag stamp, which I heat embossed in black, then added some orange in some of the dots with Colpics. I die cut the center, heat embossed the pumpkin and colored it with Copics. I stamped the whole image again and cut out the sentiment strip, colored it and adhered it to the circle. I added some ribbon for the final touch.

Creative With Stamps Challenge #29 is up and running with the theme of "FATHER". I thought it was an interesting theme choice for August, but CWS Challenge Co-Creator Lilian was born in Taiwan where Father's Day is celebrated on August 8th, and chose the prompt for this challenge.

As I looked through my stash to find things that would work, I decided on my sentiment first from Altenew's Precious Moments. I then turned toward a nautical theme choosing a red, white and blue color scheme. I used a strip of patterned paper on the left, and stamped sailboats on the right. I stamped the two pieces of the sentiment on the Every Day Circles die cut from Concord & 9th, and there you go! 

Inside, I stamped a Happy Birthday sentiment. My father is no longer with us, but this would be perfect for one of my sons to use for their dad's birthday.

Creative With Stamps Challenge #28 is up and running with the theme of "FLAG". In thinking about what I would do for the challenge, my mind immediately went to the US Celebration of July 4th, Independence day. I dug deep into the way-back stash, and pulled out PTI Vintage Picnic, which has a variety of baskets and things to fill them for different seasons/occasions. It was perfect for the direction in which I wanted to go, and this is what I came up with.

Creative With Stamps Challenge theme this month is "Mother". My post today is a reminder card  for your inspiration. The black background is a bit of a risk for a Mother's Day card, but I LOVE the way white embossing colored with metallic watercolor pencils looks on black, so here it is. I hope the recipient appreciates my artistic gamble. LOL.

I'm here with the Creative With Stamps mid-month reminder. This month we celabrate our second anniversary.  With that in mind, our challenge is to create a celebration-themed CAS (Clean And Simple) project with sentiment. In case you are not aware or need a refresher, here is the definition of CAS:

I chose to stencil one quarter of my card with Distress Oxide inks - can't get enough of them. I heat embossed part of the sentiment on a black (MFT) Fishtail die cut, and stamped the rest of the sentiment (SSS You Matter) with VersaMark Onyx Black ink.
