Sending A Flurry Of Love

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out! Time Out! Challenge #234 starts today and runs through March 29th. This time we are challenged to create a card inspired by the quote "It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold, when it is summer in the light and winter in the shade." ~ by Charles Dickens - Great Expectations.

We are generously sponsored by Top Flight Stamps. Challenge winner will receive a $25 gift voucher to the Top Flight Store.

This time we welcome Greta Hess of GG Creations, and winner of Time Out #231, as our Guest Designer. Greta really captured the essence of our quote so beautifully. Do take a stroll through Greta's blog and treat yourself to some wonderful inspiration.

I found this quote to be a bit of a challenge, but settles on the 'wind blowing cold' and dug out my MFT PI Flurry Of Love set. This girl seemed to be a perfect fit to me! I decided to give her a snowy background and a paper pieced outfit. I love the way she turned out.

Please head on over to the Time Out Challenge Blog to see the wonderful creations that the Design Team came up with to inspire you. Come play with us!

Thoughts Of You

This is a one layer card made for this week's One Layer Wednesday OLW81 challenge hosted by Jennifer Styles at Styles Ink.   The requirements of the challenge this week are to use a cream base, black ink and just a hint of bling.  This gorgeous Winter Sky image from Penny Black immediately came to mind.

My base is Taylored Expressions Choice Buttercream cardstock. I masked a sqare in the center and stamped the image with VersaFine Black Onyx ink.  I embossed a square around the image with a Nestabilities square die.  The bling is very hard to see in this photo, but the branches are dotted with Stardust Stickles which adds some lovely sparkle.  I struggled with the sentiment, but finally settled on this one from MFT Essential Sentiments.  Thanks for stopping in today.  Have a wonderful day.
