We are sponsored by Waffle Flower. Challenge winner will receive a $25.00 store credit to spend at Waffle Flower and a chance to guest Design with the Time Out Team for a future challenge.

We are joined by Jolanda Johnson of The Inquespot Studio, and winner of Time Out #255 as our Guest Designer. Jolanda is a regular player at Time Out. Her designs are fabulous. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a stroll through her blog for some wonderful inspiration.

For my card, I used Waffle Flower's Little Birdie dies and sentiments to create a birthday/support greeting  for a dear friend who is going through a very hard time. I decided to do an arch shaped card. I smooshed on a piece of cardstock picking up inks that I did not want to waste another project (channeling my inner Michele Ferguson), and added the die cuts from Little Birdie, placing birdie on a piece of vellum.

Please head on over to the Time Out Challenge Blog and see what Jolanda and the Design Team have come up with to inspire you. Hoping you will be inspired to join us in the gallery! Don't forget to check out the Just Us Girls Challenge to see their bird inspired projects and join the fun! Let them know that you arrived from Time Out!

Thankful

I have been playing with the gorgeous new SSS Maple Leaf Corner Wafer Die. This is my second card using the pieces of the die cut in reverse. I smooshed several Distress Inks in fall colors on to watercolor paper and die cut it.  I also used the die on SU brushed gold cardstock. In the previous card, I used the gold outline and inserted the water colored leaves into the negative space.  For this one, I did the opposite. "Thankful" was a die cut sentiment from PTI's Phrase Play #7 Die.  The splatters are stenciled with Tim Holtz Speckles Layering Stencil and Tea Die Distress Ink. The May Arts silk ribbon is rich and gorgeous and has been in my ribbon collection for a long time. This is a bit of a departure from my usual look because of the ribbon, but I really like it.  I am linking this card to the following challenges:

Use a new stamp or a new tool or a new technique or a new die...

Thank you so much for stopping in today.  I greatly appreciate your visit and your comments.
