Hello From My Happy Place

I finally got a chance to break out this fabulous Spellbinders Day At The Beach die set that I have had for quite a while. Recently I ran across Gina K's Ocean Minded set and had to have it, so I broke my "no new stuff" pledge (this is becoming more and more common) LOL. I could not wait to put them together. There are 2 things I would change - the brim of the hat should be solid so that the "hello" would be more easily visible, and the second is that I had to heat emboss twice because I didn't wait long enough for the DOX ink to dry. The second stamping was off a little, but that is how the ocean looks, right?? I still love it and I can't wait to give this one a second go. I now know all the tricks of putting it together.

Sing A Song

t's time for a new challenge at Less Is More. Challenge #435 is a recipe : In A Row.

We're joined by Caroline, our fantastic November 2020 winner. Please stop by her blog to see her wonderful art work and leave her some love.

When contemplating a design for my in-a-row creation, the Bird On A Wire die from Spellbinders immediately came to mind. I love these birds all in a row. I have had this die set forever, and never used it. I created a subtle background with the Cloud Edger stencil from A Colorful Life Designs and three sunset themed colors of Distress Oxide inks. I just love the sentiment too! It is from an old Sweet Stamp Shop set called Sentimental Birds. Lots of NBUS here.

Please head over to the Less Is More Blog and see what Caroline and the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I hope you'll play along with us to share your creations and for a chance to win. Remember to keep your design Clean And Simple.

To be eligible for showCASe and PRIZE WINNER choices you will need to carefully follow the guidance on our GLOSSARY OF TERMS and our HOW TO PLAY pages. Your design should feature lots of clean / white / blank / non patterned / non textured space. All challenge details are on the Less Is More blog. Good Luck!
