Warm Winter Greetings

Game #82 is up at AAA Cards Challenge Blog with a theme of "Winter Chill". Our wonderful and generous sponsor is Stamplorations:

Challenge first place winner will receive Stamplorations Framed Cardinal Stamp and the Warm Winter Wishes CUTplorations die. All players will receive a 10% discount at the Stamplorations store. Get the details on the AAA Challenge Blog.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Katrina from Katrina's Craftworks. You will be delighted as you stroll through her blog and experience her wonderful work.

Here is my take:

This is really different than my usual. The white space is blue space. Eeeeek! It's hard to see that the die cut in the top right corner is cut from white glitter paper, as is the word "winter". The words "warm" and "greetings" are embossed in silver. As is so often the case, the picture doesn't do it justice. I'm still not sure about how I feel about this one, but I do feel good that I tried something different.

Please head on over to the AAA Challenge Blog and see what the DT has conjured up for your inspiration, Create a Winter Chill inspired card of your own, link up and play with us. Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Birthday

Time Out Challenge #75 is up and running - CASE the Designer. The wonderful and talented Ksenija of Sweet Kobylkin created this wonderful inspiration card for the challenge:

Challenge sponsor for TO #75 is Happy Little Stampers. The winner will receive a $15.00 gift certificate to the Happy Little Stampers Store.

Our guest designer this time is the fabulous Marjan. Her blog is full of creative cards with various styles, do not miss any of it, click HERE!

Here is my take:

Ksenija's card put me in mind of the vine from PTI's With Sympathy stamp set that has been resting in my stash for a looooong time. In keeping with my resolution to dig things out of the deep, dark depths of my stash, I stamped it on watercolor paper, colored it with Zigs, and added some clear Wink Of Stella to the flowers to give them a little sparkle. The sentiment is done with Wet Paint Stamps and dies. "Happy" is die cut and inlaid in the top panel.

Please head on over to the TO Challenge Blog and take a look at the beautiful creations the design team has come up with for your inspiration. See where Ksenija's inspiration piece takes you. Link up your creation and play with us Time Out Challenge #75.

Hello

It's time for the first Challenge of 2017 over at The AAA Cards Challenge Blog where the theme is HELLO.

The challenge is sponsored by Happy Little Stampers. Kylie Purtell, owner of Happy Little Stampers makes an appearance on the AAA Blog as Guest Designer for Game #81!

Valentyna of flourishtina.com is Guest Designer for this challenge. Treat yourself to a stroll through her blog for some wonderful inspiration.

Here is my take:
While my new purchases continue to roll in, I have promised myself to continue to dig into my stash and break out things I have never used. This wonderful little image from PTI is one of them. I love this little telephone stamp and die set (HEART-2-HEART #4) that has been sitting, waiting patiently to come out of its packaging for years. I used 3 shades of orange-hued ink on the phone and gave it a little ombre look. I embossed the wonky circle in the card base and popped up the phone and sentiment banner with foam tape.

Please head on over to the AAA Cards Challenge Blog and see what my awesome teammates have created for your inspiration. What's your take on HELLO as we begin a new year? I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Happy Birthday LiLi

I made this card for my sister Lisa, who my family affectionately calls LiLi. Her nickname came about when my (now 17 yo) boys were just beginning to talk and that became their name for her. She and I are very close, and we share many texts with lots of emoticon silliness. I forgot to take a pic of the inside before I wrote a personal message, but I put some of the emoticons from SSS Texting stamps and dies inside with the sentiment "Happy Looks Good On You" from SSS Choose Happy set.

Supplies:
Stamps: Simon Says Clear Stamps Texxtimg and Choose Happy, Concord & 9th Sophisticated Script, MFT
Accessories: Avery Elle, Sequins, Copic markers, White Embossing Powder, Avery Elle Elle-Ments Dies-Wonky Stitches
Ink: VersaMark, VersaFine Onyx Black.

Winter Hello

It's time to ring in a new year of challenges at the Time Out Challenge Blog. Time Out Challenge #74 is a Theme Challenge: Winter with the Optional Technique Twist of "White on White"Use only different shades of white. Black and other neutral colours can be used for the sentiment.

Uniko is generously sponsoring the challenge with a gift voucher for a random winner drawn from those participants who twist.

The awesome and talented Claire of Life On The Scrap Heap is Guest Designer. You should treat yourself to a wonderful stroll around her blog. You are sure to be very inspired!

Here is my take on the challenge:

The Winnie & Walter wreath from their In Boom: Paulina's Greenery Cutaways is inlaid on Tim Holtz's Distressed Wood grain Card stock. The inner parts of the leaves are colored with clear Wink Of Stella for a little sparkle. "Winter" is cut from copper colored glitter card stock, and "hello" is embossed in copper on a little banner die from Concord & 9th's In Bloom: Paulina's Greenery Cutaways.

Please head over to the Time Out Challenge Blog to see what the wonderful Design Team has created for your inspiration. Then think Winter and White, and play with us!

Comfort & JOY

Time for the first Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge of 2017. For the January 2017 HLS Christmas challenge, it's Anything Goes with the optional twist of JOY.

Here is my take:

I used two pieces of Christmas Patterned Paper from deep within my stash. I used PTI One Liners Christmas die to cut out and inlay the word "joy" from a scrap of dusty rose colored card stock.  "Comfort &" is embossed with white ink on a banner die cut from Concord & 9th's Happy Card Frame Dies, and popped up with foam tape. It is a  simple design that worked out well. Please head on over to the Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge blog and see what that DT has created for your inspiration. Then join us with your own Christmas design at Happy Little Stampers January Christmas Challenge. Time flies and before you know it, we'll have gone around the circle again!!

Welcome 2017!

This card has a funny story behind it. I made it very recently for AAA Challenge #80, but when it got down to the last few hours before the challenge went live, I realized that the AAA challenge theme was SILVER. This card was GOLD. lol. So I remade this one in silver for that challenge. Don't tell, but I really like it much better in gold, so I am linking it to the following challenges:
