It's time for the first Challenge of 2017 over at The AAA Cards Challenge Blog where the theme is HELLO.
The challenge is sponsored by Happy Little Stampers. Kylie Purtell, owner of Happy Little Stampers makes an appearance on the AAA Blog as Guest Designer for Game #81!
Valentyna of flourishtina.com is Guest Designer for this challenge. Treat yourself to a stroll through her blog for some wonderful inspiration.
Here is my take:
While my new purchases continue to roll in, I have promised myself to continue to dig into my stash and break out things I have never used. This wonderful little image from PTI is one of them. I love this little telephone stamp and die set (HEART-2-HEART #4) that has been sitting, waiting patiently to come out of its packaging for years. I used 3 shades of orange-hued ink on the phone and gave it a little ombre look. I embossed the wonky circle in the card base and popped up the phone and sentiment banner with foam tape.
Please head on over to the AAA Cards Challenge Blog and see what my awesome teammates have created for your inspiration. What's your take on HELLO as we begin a new year? I can't wait to see what you come up with.
I am also playing along at:
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Start Afresh. Use something fresh out of the packaging, i.e. something never used before.

Love the fresh colours! Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Stephanie and I know exactly what you mean about things never being used. We continually buy new stuff and forget the old! I'm trying to make it my new years resolution to dig out the older stuff and let it shine! Love this superb CAS design with the popped up elements and ombre telephone. Great to see you play along at Less is More with it. Thanks so much. Sarah x
ReplyDeleteI really love this embossed circle, it helps make that phone really the foacl point x
ReplyDeleteThis card jumped right out at me over at AAA, Stephanie. I LOVE the ombre phone! It's so super cute!
ReplyDeletePerfect image for the challenge theme, love how you've used it on your card. Fab colours too!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fab card. Love the design and simplicity. Perfection!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful CAS card, and I really love how you inked up that phone. Great idea to ink up older stuff that has never been used. I"m going to try to do more of that this year also.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it it crazy how we don't use some of our stuff yet want more? Also, its hilarious to me when I am crafting with someone and they use something I've not touched in like forever, and they make something sensational...
ReplyDeleteYour card is simply lovely.
Happy Crafting!
Fabulous card! I love all the white space with a pop of colour right in the centre. xx

Stephanie, this old phone looks great! And the stunning CAS-style makes the whole card even more WOW!
ReplyDelete[off-topic] The look on this phone opened my very own memory-box... my grand-parents had one like this when I was young (really young!) Oh... in these days you were really online... not in the internet, but bound with the phone-line! *smile*
Thank you very much for this moment with memories of my beloved family and childhood-days (they both passed away many years ago)! [/off-topic]
Greetings from
Wiebke (KomMa-designed)

ReplyDeleteWow - so many techniques Stephanie!! I think you're like me - stuff sits around for ages begging to be used, and when you use it you're like - hey this is awesome why didn't i use it before?! :D I love this little phone, and the ombre turned out really well. Also wow to the embossed die - great idea and the wonky stitch and the phone go perfectly together so whimsical :D
