It's time for a new challenge at Time Out. Challenge #236 is a Theme Challenge in celebration of World Book Day. The enjoyment of reading books is celebrated on World Book Day on April 23 in over 100 countries, and on the first Thursday in March in the UK. It’s a day to celebrate the privilege of being able to read, so head to the library or curl up on the couch and just be a bookworm!
We are generously sponsored by Newton's Nook. Challenge Winner will receive a $25.00 store credit and an invitation to Guest Design with the Time Out Design Team for a future challenge.
We welcome Trina Pham as our Guest Designer. Trina's work is so inspiring. Do yourself a favor and head over to her blog and have a look. You are sure to be inspired!
I rarely use stickers in my card making, but this New ton was the inspiration for the design of my card. As I thought about how to use it, I got the idea to mimic the background of the sticker sheet. I inked the SSS Falling Hearts stencil and some colored card stock to get that effect. To give the background some texture, I stamped the card base with VersaMark and heat embossed it using the Hero Arts Book Stacks Background Stamp and my card was complete.
