Made With Love

A new challenge starts today at Can You Handle The Pressure? where the theme is always Anything Goes with an Embossing Folder and an optional twist. Heat embossing is welcome, but not required. An Embossing Folder must be used. For this challenge, the twist is flowers.

To create my card, I used the Altenew Spoon Daisy 3D Embossing Folder to create my top panel. I used a flat ink blending tool to apply distress ink to the raised surfaces. I hot foiled and die cut the butterfly and sentiment and adhered them to the panel. I used fun foam to pop the embossed panel up on 100# card stock and my card was complete.

Please head over to the Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge Blog and soak up some wonderful inspiration from the Design Team. Then dive into your embossing folder collection and join us with or without the twist! Just be sure to use an embossing folder on your creation!

Friends Never Judge Each Other...

It's time for a new challenge at Festive Friday where every challenge is an inspiration list based on a selected holiday/festivity from the traditional to the unusual. Challenge projects must include at least three items from the festivity inspiration list. Your project does not have to go with the challenge theme. You can just use 3 or more items from the inspo list for your creation.

Today's festivities are inspired by National Best Friends Day, which takes place on June 8th.
The challenge runs from May 27th - June 6th.

I like to create a card for our challenge that goes with the theme. For this one, I dug deep into my stash and pulled out the "Girlfriends" stamp and sentiment from Art Impressions that I have never inked, though I have owned it forever! These friends are perfect for this festivity. I colored the "girls" with Copics, framed them with one of the Pink Fresh Studio Stitched Scallop Rectangles, popped up that panel with fun foam on a kraft card base, and my card was complete.

I used feminine, pink, and friendship sentiment from the inspo list.

You're In My Thoughts

Less Is More #465 starts today. We are challenged to create a CAS card with a a rainbow theme.

To create my card, I used the wreath from Pinkfresh Studio's Rainbow Floral Washi that was die cut with the matching die. This snippet was gifted to me by a dear friend along with the other washi images from the roll. Thank you, friendy! I simply popped up the wreath with SU Dimensionals and added a sentiment from Pinkfresh Studio's Forever In Our Hearts that was heat embossed with white EP on black card stock. Super simple, easy peasy.

Please head over to the Less Is More Blog and see what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I hope you'll play along with us to share your creations. Remember to keep your design Clean And Simple which we define as designs that include large areas of CLEAR AND CLEAN space with NO PATTERN, NO INK and NO TEXTURE See challenge guidelines on the Less Is More Blog.

Love You More Than All The Stars

Time Out #214 begins today. It's an Inspired By Words Challenge. The quote is "A day without sunshine is, you know, night."

The challenge runs from Thursday, May 19th  to Wednesday, June 1st. We are generously sponsored by CAS-ual Fridays. Winner will receive a $25.00 gift voucher. Our Guest Designer is the incredibly talented Trina Pham of Phamtastic Designs.

In trying to come up with a design, my mind went to the August 2017 Hero Arts My Monthly hero kit. I love this kit. It is full of night themed stamps and dies and other supplies. I created a night sky background with Distress Oxide inks and the metallic sprays from the kit. I stamped and heat embossed images and a sentiment from the kit, and my card was complete.

Always Lifting You Up

I am so excited to be here as a new Design Team Member for Can You Handle The Pressure? where the theme is always Anything Goes with an Embossing Folder and an optional twist. Heat embossing is welcome, but not required. An Embossing Folder must be used. For this challenge, the twist is flowers.

To create my card, I used a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder that I have had in my stash for ages called Grace's Frame. I love the simplicity and elegance of it, and thought it would be the perfect stage for these beautiful floral Washi die cuts made with Pinkfresh Studio's English Garden Washi Tape & Die Set. I arranged several of the die cuts and popped them up on the embossed panel. I popped up the embossed panel with fun foam, and adhered it to my card base. To complete my card, I stamped a sentiment from Pinkfresh Studio's Always Uplifting stamp set with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and heat embossed with WOW clear embossing powder.

Please head over to the Can You Handle The Pressure? Challenge Blog and check out the wonderful projects that the Design Team has created to inspire you. Dive into your embossing folder stash and add some pressure!

Hello Sweet Friend

It's time for a new challenge at Festive Friday where every challenge is an inspiration list based on a selected holiday/festivity from the traditional to the unusual. Challenge projects must include at least three items from the festivity inspiration list. Your project does not have to go with the challenge theme. You can just use 3 or more items from the inspo list for your creation.

Today's festivities are inspired by World Bee Day, which takes place on May 20th.
The challenge runs from May 13th - May 23rd.

I like to create a card for our challenge that goes with the theme. For this one, I purchased and printed the gorgeous image from Power Poppy's Sweet Simple Things Digital Stamp Set from Power Poppy on Neenah Solar White 80# paper and colored it with Copics. I framed it with Pinkfresh's Stitched Scalloped Rectangles, popped it up with fun foam and mounted it on a kraft card base. The sentiment is done with Glimmer Hot Foil System and a Glimmer Plate from Spellbinders Mini Everyday Sentiments.

I used flowers, bees, yellow, black and hive from the inspo list.

Vacation!

Time Out #213 begins today with the theme of ON VACATION, The challenge runs from Thursday, May 5th  to Wednesday, May 18th. We are generously sponsored by Lawn Fawn.

We welcome Marieke, winner of Time Out Challenge #209, as our Guest Designer.

My mind went to Paper Smooches Get Outta Town for this one. My happy place has an ocean, some palm trees, some fancy drinks with umbrellas and fruit and someone to share them with. I sure would love to be on that plane right now. The bit of stenciling in the background is done with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink and the Sea Foam stencil from A Colorful Life Designs which was gifted to me by a dear friend.
