It's time for a new challenge at Festive Friday where every challenge is an inspiration list based on a selected holiday/festivity from the traditional to the unusual. Challenge projects must include at least three items from the festivity inspiration list.
Since the Inspiration List is a mix of elements related to the festivity, the creator has the choice to make something for that festivity, or to ignore the festivity all together and create something just using three (or more) elements selected.
I like to create a card for our challenge that goes with the celebration theme. This one is so easy that it's hard in a way, to choose supplies, sentiments, recipient, etc.
I decided to use a floral image for my card. I chose Altenew's Weekend Doodles stamps and dies. To create some interest in the background and to ground my floral image, I stamped two triple stripe images from PTI Background Basics Super Stripes. I colored the floral image with Inktense pencils, die cut it and popped it up over the stripes with foam tape. The sentiment is from Pinkfresh Studio Starburst Circles. It is stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed with clear EP. I added a few sequins, and my card was complete! I used Friendship sentiment, pink, rhinestones (sequins) from the Inspo List.
I'm also playing at:
I love this hon. Adore how you used the striped to ground the flowers-super idea and it also adds a graphic look which always works with pretty flowers for me! Super colouring and wonderful sentiment-hope all is well and miss you my friend xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always. Love the addition of the black stripes. So striking and something I want to try.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! Love it!
ReplyDeleteYour bold stripes are such a wonderful way to draw attention to these sweet words - what friend doesn't love to hear them? A gorgeous card, my friend!

I love those colors, especially against the black stripes. This is a beautiful card, very clean and crisp!
ReplyDeleteI love how you framed the sentiment with those striped, Stephanie. Those Doodle flowers are so whimsical and beautifully colored. Thanks for sharing your card with us at The Flower Challenge.
