It's time for a new challenge at Festive Friday where every challenge is an inspiration list based on a selected holiday/festivity from the traditional to the unusual. Challenge projects must include at least three items from the festivity inspiration list.
Since the Inspiration List is a mix of elements related to the festivity, the creator has the choice to make something for that festivity, or to ignore the festivity all together and create something using just the three (or more) elements selected.
Today's festivities are in celebration of National Gardening Week, which is celebrated June 6th - 12th this year. The challenge runs from May 14th - May 24th.
I like to create a card for our challenge that goes with the celebration. For my National Gardening Week-themed card, I used the Paper Smooches Green Thumb stamp set to make my seed packets and colored them with Copics adding a little shading with Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink. I tore a piece of brown textured card stock for my dirt, mounted my seed packets on popsicle sticks, and inked the sky with the Cloud Edger stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I adhered the seed packet sticks, added a sentiment and my card was done. I used plants (well, planted seeds), green, die cut and dirt from the inspo list.
I'm also playing at:
I love this. Those little seed labels are so cute
ReplyDeleteLove the adorable seed packets and the sticks holding them. The punny sentiment is just too mulch!
ReplyDeleteWell, isn't that just the cutest kick in the plants?! I have always loved that PS set, Stephanie - it's perfect for National Gardening Week - and for any of your entre-manure friends!
