To My Favorite Bookworm

Time Out Challenge #180 begins today.  We are challenged to create a card inspired by the words "In the winter she curls up around a good book and dreams away the cold."

Our sponsor for this challenge is

Our Guest Designer this week is Bobby of Bits & Pieces. Bobby is a very talented crafter and lovely person. Treat yourself to a visit to her wonderful blog, and show her some love.

I bought this set of stamps and dies on eBay a while ago. It's called Read Past Your Bedtime by Uniquely Creative, an Australian company. I stamped some of the images on Neenah Solar White 80# card stock, colored them with Copics, and die cut and arranged them over some light stenciling. I used the color scheme from Inkspirational's current challenge. I love that photo! The sentiment is from an ancient set from MFT - I (heart) Books By Stephanie Fizer. This will be a birthday card for one of my favorite bookworms!

Please hop on over to the Time Out Challenge Blog to see the wonderful creations that Bobby and the Design Team came up with to inspire you. Come play with us!

  4. So fabulous, Stephanie! Your gentle inking shows how everything in the world disappears while we're in the midst of our latest favorite book!
I'm definitely a bookworm, but had to give up reading actual books - it's about my hands, no worries - but I could NOT get to sleep at night without a chapter or ten from my Kindle propped on a pillow!
