I am delighted to say that I am Guest Designer at this week's new Watercooler Wednesday Challenge:
WWC165 - Tenia's "All About Occasions". I chose Mother's Day as my occasion, and used Winnie and Walter die and stamps to complete my sentiment.
I decided to try a new-to-me watercolor powder technique that I saw on Splitcoast Stampers in which you sprinkle the powder directly on to a background stamp, spritz it with water, then stamp it. Using a MISTI for this technique allows you to keep spritzing and stamping until you are happy with the result.
Please head over to the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge Blog and check out the wonderful creations that the Design Team has made to inspire you. Create an occasions card and join us in the gallery. I can't wait to see your creation!
Stephanie glad to have you on board as Guest Designer this challenge. Wow what an amazing swirl of colours you've created on your card. I haven't tried this technique yet, but after seeing your beautiful creation will be looking it up. I love the big bold birthday lettering too. Simply a wonderful birthday card! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunner! Jo x
ReplyDeleteA great card! Congrats on being guest designer! Hugs, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteLove your card Stephanie! What a fun technique - I need to give this a try. Thanks so much for participating in our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge as a Guest Designer.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Stephanie and such bright colours! Love that you linked the technique. I haven't tried it myself and am intrigued. I'm so very glad you were able to step in as our Guest Designer at such short notice. I knew your project would be a show-stopper.
ReplyDeleteWonderful card Stephanie, fabulous colours and technique. I read your bio and like you have been card making for 25+ years and yes it was the magic of gold and silver embossing that hooked me. Isn't it amazing where the craft has gone, so many new products even the heat gun - we used our toaster, enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to have you join us at Watercooler Wednesday this week, Stephanie!
ReplyDeleteI love the great mix of colour and pattern on your card. This is such a fun technique! I must try it for myself! I love to try something new.
