It's Birthday Time at Time Out Challenges! A celebration is indeed in order! Time Out was started four years ago by Sandie Munro of London Days, and Nonni Niskanen of Nonni's Handmade Cards. The challenge has grown steadily and beautifully over the years, and is thriving today under Sandie's leadership with Nonni still designing with the team. We are graced with such wonderful talent on our Design Team, with our entrants and our Guest Designer participants. This is truly a wonderful community that continues to expand and evolve. I have been part of the Time Out Design Team since October 2016, and I am so blessed and privileged to be part of this incredibly talented group of crafters who are as wonderful people as they are artists. It has been a lovely ride so far, and the journey continues.
Challenge #105 is an "Inspired By Words Challenge".

I adore that background, you are rocking these backgrounds and how perfect it goes with this die. Fab idea to use the acetate for the sentiment so we don’t miss any of this beauty. It is wonderful to have you as part of team, your cards are such an inspiration and always such different and amazing styles. You rock hon x
ReplyDeleteSuch a cool, smooshy background, Stephanie ... the black backing to that fabulous die really pops against it! Love the vellum sentiment strip ... it allows that background to shine! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a super background! It makes this a very modern and warm card and so different use with the die! I get inspired every time with your makes! Glad to be in the team together! Hugs, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Stephanie. Love the multi colored background you created, and how you used vellum for your sentiment, so nothing was covered. Whenever I try to mix colors like that, I get a blog of brown, so I am really admiring your technique. Love the scalloped edges as well.
ReplyDeleteAmazing card, love the background, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteWow Stephanie, your multicoloured background is so vibrant and I like how you've used a scalloped die for the edges. The sentiment on vellum and the black backdrop for it really work well for this card and make it stand out. Thanks for sharing with us at the Watercooler Wednesday "Any Occasion" challenge this week.
ReplyDeleteI love that inky background Stephanie - it looks amazing behind the bold sentiment. I love making backgrounds like these but then never know what to do with them after! Thanks for the shout out!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Stephanie! Love that wonderful background. Thanks for joining us at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge. Marsha DT
ReplyDeleteAwesome background! Thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteI love that beautiful smooshed background - it is so fun and pairs beautifully with that die cut! I also love how you layered the sentiment with vellum - it adds a great touch! Great card!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your beautiful words about the challenge, Stephanie! We truly have some fun in this group don't we! :) Love your artsy looking card... The background you've created looks absolutely stunning, I love blend of colors, they look almost like fireworks! Very cool!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is so pretty. The mix of colors is fabulous. Our daughter’s birthday is approaching very fast and we have made the plans to celebrate it in the Mermaid style at some local event space NYC. I think that such cards as the party favors would be best. I will give small candy boxes too along with them.
