A new month has arrived, and that means a host of new challenges are starting at Happy Little Stampers. The theme of the September Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge is Christmas with an opetional twist of "sparkle". This is my take.
Now, I usually do the twist when a challenge has one, and this time is no exception; HOWEVER, you can not or can BARELY see just how sparkly this card is. I had an awful time photographing it, so I hope you can take my word for it! I am just plain out of gas and frustrated with trying to capture all that sparkle, so I admit it - I gave up.
The background panel is luscious navy with lots of sparkle and shine in it - it's from the December 2016 Hero Arts Monthly Card Kit - gorgeous. The beautiful Memory Box Flowering Christmas Tree is cut from white glitter paper - so sparkly!!!! You can't see that in the pic either. AND the sentiment is embossed in silver which has lots of sparkle and shine... my picture is flat as a board. But I tell you - it is fabulous IRL!!!!! Pinky swear!!!!
Anyway, the HLS Christmas Design Team has created lots of sparkly inspiration for you, so please head over to the Happy Little Stampers September Christmas Challenge and open up the inspiration portals!!! Christmas is only 114 days away here in the New York Metro Areac so get your holiday craftiness motor running. I can only imagine how beautiful this card is in fact, with all its glitter !! I'm sure it looks amazing. But even when you do not see the glow, the card is very, very beautiful. This die is very elegant, and the combination of dark blue and white colors always creates a winning color duo.

Isn't is frustrating when you can't get the best shot of your sparkly cards when you photograph them. Your paper certainly looks lovely and I can imagine how gorgeous your inlaid die is too. A beautiful cas card Stephanie.
ReplyDeletePhotos can be so frustrating, know how hard it is to show sparkle! Love the look of the white on the dark blue even without seeing the sparkle.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stylish design Stephanie and I love the elegant look of navy and silver. I share your frustration about photographing sparkle!

This looks so elegant. I know exactly what you mean about photographing sparkly cards .... it's a nightmare!! xx
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous and I can believe all that luxurious sparkle in my mind! I sometimes take extra photos of cards with sparkly details with "different settings" than I normally use to capture the shine... I take the "normal" photo first and then for example have the card in my hand, tilt it towards light and take couple of smaller detail shots to capture the shine... Not that you need to do that, I just mentioned it in case you want to give it a try! I love this elegant card, great use of dies. Wonderful CAS layout too.
