Challenge #72 is up and running at Time Out Challenges, where it's time for a CASE Challenge. This means a special designer has been chosen to share a card to inspire your creation - you CASE it...Copy and Share Everything!
The CASE artist for this challenge is the very talented Kim Heggins of Cupakes, Cards and Kim. Treat yourself to a stroll through Kim's blog. I'm sure you will be inspired. Here is Kim's design for your inspiration for Time Out Challenge #72:
Deepti Aggarwal of Vishesh Collections is the Guest Designer for this challenge. Deepti is incredibly talented and has created a wonderful card from Kim's inspiration piece. You can check out Deepti's wonderful Card on the Time Out Challenge Blog.
Here's my take:
The swirly stems on Kim's flower image brought to mind a set from PTI that is now in their vault - Stitches and Swirls. So I dug into my "vault" and pulled it out. I stamped the largest image in the set with Memento Tuxedo Black on a Neenah Solar White panel, and colored it with Copics. I used Simon Says Stamp "Sending" Wafer Die and "Sending & Wishing" stamp set for the sentiment. I have rediscovered the technique of distressing edges lately, so I did that, and also added clear WOS to the leaves and flowers..
Please head over to the Time Out Challenge Blog and check out Deepti's creation as well as the wonderful inspiration from the Design Team. See where your creative mind takes you as you come up with your own creation, link up, and play with us.

Wel, there are few things about this card that I really love! Your colouring is so good, I love the depth you have made with this. And the stamps are stunners but my fav is the distressed edge. I haven't thought of using that on a CAS card. I have only ever used on a vintage card before, I am going to try this as I think it adds amazing interest. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteSo very pretty, Stephanie ... gorgeous colouring and depth to those lovely blooms! Like Sandie, my eye was taken with the distress edges ... they're fabulous with the stitched outlines! Hugs, Anita :)

ReplyDeleteStephanie so delightful. I adore this stamp and you've made it so perfectly reflective of the colours in Kim's card. Also the distressed edges set it off perfectly. And go you with your copics. I am still scared of mine. :D Jenny xxx
ReplyDeleteLove how you pulled out an older stamp set for this challenge. I did not realize it was already in the vault! It looks fantastic colored brightly as you have done here.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Stephanie! I love that stamp too and you colored it beautifully! Great job on the CASE!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card Stephanie, I have been in love with this stamp set ever since I can remember and I have just recently managed to purchase it second hand. Cant wait to use it now. Your card looks so pretty and the mix of colours perfect. Thank you so much for joining us at The Flower Challenge Aileen DT
ReplyDeleteI love how you are distressing the edges of your panels - it really adds the perfect finishing touch to a CAS - don't you just love re-discovering old techniques!! The stamp is beautiful too - I am secretly happy that it is discontinued so that it can't find its way into my cart :) Perfect CASE - perfect card!
ReplyDeleteSpringtime in the heart, because there's snow on the ground! Awesome...
ReplyDeleteHello Stephanie: I truly love this stamped image, I think the stitched design on this flowers is just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe colors you used are so vibrant and really stand out against that pristine white panel. The distressed edge is a beautiful detail.
Thank you for sharing with us at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE.
Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez. DT
