This creation took me forever to put together, though I really like the end result. I am having a terrible time with photographing my cards. I don't know what changed, but the photos are not as clear as they have been. Very puzzling. Anyway, there's a new challenge in town - CASology. The inspiration is a word, and this week it is SUN. CAS-ual Firdays challenge this week is to Use strips of color or pattern in your Clean And Simple creation.
So here you have it - sun (made with triangular strips) and strips (of blue). The picture really does no justice to this card. This problem is driving me mad, so if you have any suggestions, I am all ears (eyes...).
Thank you for stopping by today!
So so cool!!
ReplyDeleteHi Stephanie, nothing wrong with this card/design. I acatully think its great coz it's different.
ReplyDeleteRGB is in paint shop pro and it stands for the numbers for red, green and blue which make up the colours of the paint to be used. I have since worked out myself lol so thanks anyway...keep in touch..x
Photography is the most frustrating part of this hobby for me, too, so I'd love to hear some tips! I love how you incorporated the strips into the ocean and the way you've used those stamps and the reverse scallop nestability (I'm guessing) to create the sun is unique! And a wonderful sentiment for a very encouraging card. Thanks for playing along with CASology's first challenge!
ReplyDeletePhotographing my cards is the biggest challenge, I get it. How fun is this sun and the strips of blue for the water. Thank you so much for playing with us this week at CASology.
ReplyDeleteI think your card looks fine on my screen, so I have no photo hints. But, this is a wonderful design, and your colors are great, and it really is a great take on both challenges.
ReplyDeletewhat a super cool card!! thanks for playing along with CASology this week!

ReplyDeleteIn the gallery, I thought this was a ferris wheel! How cool that it turned out to be a sun---awesome creation and what a great sentiment, perfect for the sun challenge!
ReplyDeleteThat is one incredibly cool pieced sun! But I think I love the curve of the blue strips below it even more. :) Wish I could help you with the photography question, but I'm pretty clueless when it comes to photos. Thanks for sharing this with us at CAS-ual Fridays!
ReplyDeleteAhh Steph...... wish I was seeing this gorgeous sunrise!!!
ReplyDeleteLove how you've used those dies and your stripey blue ocean. That sweeping landscape gives that teasing peek of the sea :0)
