Well, this is the most layered card I have made in ages, but I love it. My style has become so much more on the CAS side of things, but the current
Inspired By Table Runner Challenge

and THIS card by Her Royal Craftiness, Michele Ferguson, inspired me to take out my stash of Halloween papers and go to town. I used a variety of dies from Reverse Confetti, Lawn Fawn, Sizzix and Poppy Stamps to create this fun card. I love the inspiration!

To make my card, I dry embossed the MFT Rectangle Peek-a-Boo Window Die on 80# Neenah Solar White cardstock. I masked the stitched frame and created a night sky with Distress Oxide Inks also masking the full moon. I stamped the skyscraper and super hero flying in the moonlight, added some white spatters for stars, and stamped the sentiment. It will be fun to see how crafters use this code word. Thanks Jaydee, for choosing such a fun one!

I used 2 Uniko stamp sets for my card: Background Blocks Mid Century Modern and All Occasion Sentiments #3. I embossed the background image with the wonderfully sparkly WOW/Honey Bee Stamps Bee Kind EP, mounted it on a black panel and popped it up on my card base. I added the sentiment and that was it. I love that Mid Century Modern image - there seems to be a resurgence of interest in that interior design style these days. I also really love the font in the sentiment.

To make my card, I used scraps of MFT plaid paper from a 6x6 pad that I have had for a long time, and of long retired Groovy Guava and Gable Green paper from SU. I made this card for my son with the intention of sending love and encouragement as he navigates his second year of college, but his first year as a transfer student to a whole new environment. He is a stellar student, but the work has been tough, and the social scene a little challenging coming in as a sophmore. Things are looking up, and I am incredibly proud of him. There is a song that my boys and I all love called "Sky Full Of Stars" by Coldplay. This card makes me think of that and I think he will love it.

I used a stencil, die and sentiment from the celestial-themed My Monthly Hero August 2017 Kit to create this card along with Distress Oxide, Delicata and VersaFine inks. I am so pleased with the way it came out.
