Happy 3rd Birthday AAA Cards!

It's birthday time over at AAA Cards! AAA Cards Challenge is celebrating their thrid birthday in a big way with many awesome sponsors, great prizes adn many ways to win. AAA Cards is near and dear to my heart. When it was first started by Victoria L three years ago, she invited me to be on the Design Team. It was a wonderful opportunity, and it really helped me to broaden my cardmaking skills, particularly in the CAS genre. Since then I have met so many amazing crafters all over the world and I am grateful to have started out my Design Team journey there. I wish the current Design Team a wonderful birthday celebration. Please head over to the AAA Cards Challenge Blog and check out the wonderful inspiration the Design Team and the special guests have created for you.

Find out about all the ways to win the wonderful prizes from the sponsors. Create a Birthday Card, Link up, and join in the celebration by playing AAA Cards Game #91. Happy Birthday AAA Cards! Celebrate good times!

With Sympathy

This gorgeous set of dies from STAMPlorations (CUTplorations Flutter Zen 1) is so perfect for so many things. Sadly, I am in need of a sympathy card for a friend who lost her son. The colors are inspired by this week's Less Is More Challenge. The gray and the yellow are a wonderful juxtaposition that makes me think of the feelings of sadness and hope. This seems to be very fitting for a situation in which there are just no words...

I'm So Lucky

Challenge #83 is up at Time Out - It's a "CASE with Your Own Twist" challenge. We are CASEing a card created for us by the wonderful and talented Desert Diva - Hannelie. The challenge is to CASE Hannelie's card using your own style, hence the "Your Own Twist". Be inspired and have fun!

The challenge sponsor is Happy Little Stampers. Winner will receive a $15.00 Gift Voucher for the Happy Little Stampers Store.

Here is Hannelie's gorgeous inspiration piece:

Susanne from Keep In Touch Cards is Guest Designer for this challenge. She has created a fabulous card for your inspiration. Please check out her wonderful blog. You will be so glad you did!

My take is a Mother's Day card for my sister. I went with Hannelie's colors over a white embossed panel cut with a stitched square die, and split to add part of the sentiment. Inside sentiment: Happy Mother's Day.

Please head on over to the Time Out Challenge Blog and check out the wonderful inspiration from the DT, see where Hannelie's design takes you, link up, and play with us at Time Out.

Masked Poinsettias

The May Christmas Challenge is up at Happy Little Stampers, and this time the "twist" is masking. I did the twist, and here is what I came up with. I masked the panel on the left on Bristol Paper, embossed the (Happy Little Stampers) poinsettia  images with white EP and colored them with Zigs. "Merry" is die cut, stacked and inlaid. I really love the way this one turned out.

Do go over to the Happy Little Stampers May Christmas Challenge, check out the wonderful DT creations for some inspiration. Stay on top of your Christmas card-making by entering your Christmas creation, with or without the twist, in the HLS May Christmas gallery.

Challenge winner will receive a $15.00 credit for the Happy Little Stampers Store.
