Happy Birthday, Tommy Pumpkin

This card is for an about-to-be-5-year-old little boy, a ginger who LOVES everything cowboy. Not even sure where that comes from. I don't know any other child these days who is into the western scene. There is a place here in NJ called Wild West City that has been open for as long as I can remember. They stage a train robbery and the whole nine yards that go along with the western theme. This kid just can't get enough. So I bought these stamps and paper pad just to make him a cowboy themed birthday card. I stamped the images, colored with Copics and fussy cut them. Then I added the ground on which the boy and horse are standing with Copics, and stenciled the clouds. Finished with patterned paper, buttons and stars. This one is heavily influenced by DT member Michele Boyer's card as you can se HERE. It is just so perfect for Tommy.

  2. Well, this is just the cutest cowboy card I've ever seen! And I must say, I lived in NJ for 11 years, 3 of them in Hunterdon County and I never heard of the Wild West City, but it sure sounds like fun!

  5. My first thought is WOW! I really thought these were stickers as the coloring is so perfect and images I had not seen before. I was a huge cowgirl fan when I was young, so I can so relate to how he feels. I even have a belt with my name on the back. I know, more info than you needed. This is fantastic and your fussy cutting is too. Thanks for sharing with us at Seize the Birthday.
