May Your Christmas Be Filled With Joy

Less Is More Challenge #455

begins today. We are challenged to create a CAS card with the theme of
Winter Whites.

I used Neenah Solar White and Buttercream card stock to create my card. I simply die cut the top panel of Neenah Solar white with the Penny Black Christmas Elegance Creative Die. I backed that panel with  buttercream card stock. I added a gold heat embossed sentiment from SSS Tiny Words Christmas Stamp Set and my card was complete.

Please head over to the Less Is More Blog and see what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I hope you'll play along with us to share your creations. Remember to keep your design Clean And Simple which we define as designs that include large areas of CLEAR AND CLEAN space with NO PATTERN, NO INK and NO TEXTURE See challenge guidelines on the Less Is More Blog.

Your Kindness Is Contagious

It's time for a new challenge at Festive Friday where every challenge is an inspiration list based on a selected holiday/festivity from the traditional to the unusual. Challenge projects must include at least three items from the festivity inspiration list.

Today's festivities are in celebration of World Kindness Day, which takes place on November 13th. The challenge runs from October 15th - October 25th.

I like to create a card for our challenge that goes with the celebration theme. To create my card, I used WPlus9's Kind Soul stamps. I stamped my image and heat embossed it with clear EP. Then I blended Fossilized Amber, Seedless Preserves and Spiced Marmalade distress Oxide Inks over the card front, then spattered it with water, then with gold Color Shine. The sentiment stamps and die cuts are from Honey Bee Stamps Kindness sets. I die cut the word kindness four times with white card stock, stacked them and added a layer of gold. The rest of the words are stamped and heat embossed with gold EP.
I used flowers, embossing and shimmer from the inspo list.

Come play with us! Remember that your project does not have to go with the challenge theme. You can just use 3 or more items from the inspo list for your creation!

National Cat Day

It's time for a new challenge at Festive Friday where every challenge is an inspiration list based on a selected holiday/festivity from the traditional to the unusual. Challenge projects must include at least three items from the festivity inspiration list.

Today's festivities are in celebration of National Cat Day, which takes place on October 29th. The challenge runs from October 15th - October 25th.

I like to create a card for our challenge that goes with the celebration theme. To create my card, I used Stampers Anonymous Snarky Cat Halloween stamp set to create a Halloween scene. The background is cut from a sheet of Halloween themed patterned paper from Creative Memories that has been in my stash for a very long time. I stamped, Copic colored and fussy cut the cat, pumpkin, broom and bat images and arranged them on the panel of patterned paper. I gave the bat a heavy coating of Wink Of Stella for texture and sparkle, and adhered that panel to a slimline die cut panel from Catherine Pooler's Essentials Slimline Dies
I used cat, orange and texture from the inspo list.

Come play with us! Remember that your project does not have to go with the challenge theme. You can just use 3 or more items from the inspo list for your creation!

We're Here For You

Time Out #198 begins today, We are challenged to create something to acknowledge Breast Cancer Awareness Month and making a friendship or encouragement card with an optional twist of pink. The challenge runs from Thursday, October 7th to October 20th.

We are generously sponsored by CASual Fridays Stamps.

A $25.00 gift voucher will be given to a randomly drawn winner. Challenge winner as designated by the design team will be eligible for a guest designer spot in a future challenge.
To create my card, I used a white 110# card base. I popped up a gel print panel that was die cut with Spellbinders Rectangular Hemstitch Dies on which I stamped and heat embossed the Hope Ribbon from CASual Fridays along with a sentiment from the same set. I placed a tiny punched heart and old SU punch in in the middles of the ribbon image. That was it. Sadly, I have several people I can send this to at the moment. I am a survivor myself, and I can't tell you how much hope filled cards meant to me when I was sick.

Happy Halloween

Less Is More Challenge #453 begins today. We are challenged to create a CAS card in the colors of yellow and purple in our design.

I thought these colors would work well for Halloween. I made a one layer card using the Six Circle Shadow stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, did some masking and inked three circles with yellow and purple DO inks. I then used images from a very old (unavailable) stamp set that has been in my stash for years - Waltzingmouse Stamps Midnight Feast. The sentiment is from Picket Fence Studios If The Broom Fits.

Please head over to the Less Is More Blog and see what the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I hope you'll play along with us to share your creations. Apple Day

It's time for a new challenge at Festive Friday where every challenge is an inspiration list based on a selected holiday/festivity from the traditional to the unusual. Challenge projects must include at least three items from the festivity inspiration list.

Today's festivities are in celebration of National Apple Day, which takes place on October 21st. The challenge runs from October 1st - October 11th.

I like to create a card for our challenge that goes with the celebration theme. To create my card, I used this gorgeous digi image from Power Poppy that screams of apple season. There are no visible apples in the scene, but I assure you, that is an apple pie. I can smell it! I colored the image with Copics, die cut it with Spellbinders Hemstitch Circle Dies, and mounted it on a card base cut from Ranger Wood Grain Card Stock. The "autumn" sentiment is a die cut from Winnie & Walter - no longer available.

I used apples (I swear they are in the pie), red, green circles and baking from the inspo list.

Come play with us! Remember that your project does not have to go with the challenge theme. You can just use 3 or more items from the inspo list for your creation!
